"Show folder and contents to players" a continuously unfulfilled request

Over the years, over and over again, DMs have requested they have the ability to make a folder and its contents visible to players. This request seems to be rebuffed by devs over and over again, and I'd like to know why. I buy modules in the marketplace and there are folders that are chock full of things the player may need to use and in order to enable that I have to tediously show each separate sheet in order for the contents to be visible. Unless I'm mistaken, it's still not an available action. Some kindly DMs have posted APIs that allow a DM to do just that, but the DM has to be at the "Pro" level in order to implement APIs. Seriously, this is just not an acceptable way of doing business. This is base-level, organizational file handling, something that should be implemented and readily available to all DMs to make their game setup easier and more pleasant. So let's do this, please. Thank you.
