Cannot join game as DM, only when "join as player"

I am stuck on the loading screen when I load my campaign, but when I "re-join a player", I am able to join the game

I reset my cache, tried different browsers/computers, but no luck

Initially it was not working a week ago, and I assumed it would be fixed

Anyone come across this before?

And i tried making a new campaign, but I can join as a DM no problem. Still cannot load the one other campaign

You might have a problem with one of your maps.  My guess is that as DM you are viewing a different map than where the player ribbon is.  When you rejoin as player, you are looking at the map with the player ribbon, which isn't giving any problems.  You could promote a player you trust to GM and have them delete the map where the DM view is, or create a second account of your own that you promote to do that.

Hey Jiggs, mind telling me which game you're running into this on? I'd love to get an internal ticket tracking this, but I'll need more information since it seems to be game-specific.

Kraynic's suggestion is likely to fix the issue. (And thank you Kraynic for the suggestions!)

Tried promoting the player, but they ended up with the same loading screen issue until they rejoined as a player.

I'll ask another player to try with this method, just in case.

And the game/campaign is <Forgotten World>

Open for any suggestions

Having the same issue with my game Arch.

I made a second account and promoted it to try that fix, but no luck either.

Can say this is probably a map issue, as the last thing I did was uploading and placing down a fairly large map I drew, with the game failing to load when I reloaded the page soon after(to fix my accidental popping out of the chat tab).

I also tried deleting the file for the map from my asset library from a different game, which did delete it, but didn't fix the issue.

Needless to say, I'm also invested in the solution here.

I had something similar except I couldn't log in as player either. The loading process hung with the chat and left-hand palette visible, and the little blue square for pulling down maps. I was able to turn off dynamic lighting on the map, and it loaded after that. I had no players in the game at the time.

If there is a way to fix it, the lighting may have been a cause for my issue. I was getting screen tears where I couldn't see part of the screen - the visual glitches were in the same pattern as each token's line of sight

Of course, I don't know

That's an interesting observation. Were you using UDL? There have been a number of reports of triangles or cones of colored light, but no one else has mentioned if they correspond to tokens' lines of sight.

I was using the legacy lighting. But I've had glitches before too, and none were game-crashing like this is.

Anyways, I have my next session in a couple days and is there some way I can get my campaign reviewed or fixed? If not, at this point I'm then wondering if I can get a reimbursement for my remaining months of Plus

Does anyone from roll20 have another answer? I am going to request a refund of my remaining Plus subscription because of the lack of help

Another thead appeared, that could be related to the same problem. See my post there https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/9897340/impossible-to-load-game-slash-campaign/?pageforid=9898765#post-9898765
Note that i don't use lightning at all in this game, and that i have this bug only in the latest  game i created in roll20.
