The Basking Log

"Friends" Have you ever looked at a bright light, and then closed your eyes? If you have, you will know that the light can still be seen, despite the absence of vision. The words of Zan echo in my ears in much in the same way. It has been some time since the Dusking Event...even so, the screams are in that echo too. Strawberries remind me of what was lost. They grow in the Light, taste of the sweetness of life, and stain your hands red when they are gone. Trying to describe their taste, if just an hour later, will find yourself struggling. Enjoy them while you are able, for when they are gone their memory is fleeting. Nothing is real Nothing to get hung about Strawberry fields, forever
Resonation The dark need not be void of light. Stones have a keen ability to absorb energy of all kinds. Not all energy is created equal, however. Some stones receive energy they are not attuned for and fade, others receive the same energy and carry it in perpetuity. I like to belive I carry the light of Zan in the form of the latter, and that it radiates out at my own frequency so that others may also bask in the warmth as I have. Once and twice the watch has ended. My companions were both of the silent persuasion. The fog, lifting as a new dawn awaits. Who's watch was it anyway? Where am I? Did I fall asleep? All the trees begin to moan, And the monsters grunt and groan, Rotting faces full of slime, Don't you know? It's terror time!
