I decided to introduce Superior masterwork items.    The idea behind this is that these items are made by masters and are very costly.  Often they are designed and weighted for a particular individual. 1)Superior Masterwork Items are never magical.   Casting any enhancement upon such an item throws off the balance.  The item must be able to work normally.   A magic enhancement to hit or to do more damage throws off the ability of a superior masterwork item and makes it function as a normal masterwork item.   Think of it this way, the weight and balance of such items are made to accentuate the natural ability of the person wielding the item.  A magical enhancement that is helping guide your blow is throwing off the natural skill of the wielder.   Instead of helping it is negating the swords fine balance.  2)Superior Masterwork Weapons only add a enhancement bonus to hit.  It does not add anything to damage.  This bonus does not stack with magical enhancement and is completely buried by such.  A +3 Superior Master work that has been magicked to +1 becomes a +1 weapon.  The +3 from the Superior Masterwork is lost due to the magic added to it. 3)The Superior Masterwork weapons can have crystals that rely upon a being placed upon Masterwork items, but not crystals that have a requirement for magic items.  This means that the best a Superior Masterwork item can have placed on it is a Least Level Crystal. 4)Superior Masterwork Items are expensive.  They cost half the cost of a normal magic weapon.   So, a +1 cost 1000, a +2 2000, +3 4000.   After +4 and +5 Superior Masterwork weapons are individually made and will not function as anything more than a regular Masterwork Weapon due to them being especially weighted for the individual that they were made for.   Someone can learn to use one, but in game it would take at least 3 months to do so and even then it would still function one level below what it was designed at.  Therefore, a +5 Masterwork wielder by a person that it was not designed for, would only function as a +4.   This is because the weapon when created had taken in the reach, the height, the speed, and other factors of the intended wielder. 5)The insane expensiveness of the item is noticeable in not only the craftsmanship but in the actual composition of the weapon and its intricate inlays, jewels, and/or gold, silver and other precious metals it is crafted from.   6)These superior weapons are hardly if ever made from standard metals, instead they are crafted from Mithril, cold iron, Admantine, and Alchemical Silver.   The cost of the choice of material is added to the cost of the weapon. 7)Mithril weapons are treated weight wise and usability wise one category less.   So, standard weapons are brought down to light status.  This does not mean a two-handed weapon can be wielded one handed, it though would have the overall weight as a one handed weapon.  The only exception to this is the bastard-sword and Dwarven Axe.  Both weapons were designed to be able to wielded one handed.
