Hello! I'm a relatively veteran 5e player looking for a group interested in RP as much as combat. Note: I'm not a DM, nor do I desire to be. Rather, I'd like to play my gnome artificer Badger Jarrington. Backstory: Badger wasn't able to get into the wizard schools, so he became an inventor with the intention of creating his own magic. One night he dreamed of a flare gun. He spent the next few days creating the item. Once completed, he test-fired it and set his neighbor's home on fire. Pleased that it worked, it was lost on him that he cost someone their home. Until he was arrested, anyways. He did his time, but he has many more ideas rattling around his gnome head, and he won't rest until he becomes the greatest. Inventor. Ever. In the past, I've always played dark characters. This time around, I want to play someone light-hearted. Humorous. He doesn't adventure because he's haunted by some dark memory, or hunted by a powerful foe. He adventures because he wants to be the best. If there's a group where he'll fit in, please let me know. I'm not interested in pay-to-play (though may be convinced for the right price) or campaigns that are half-complete. I want Badger to develop friendships with the characters he'll be in play with. I likely won't get along with min-maxers. I'm available Monday, Tuesday, and/or Thursday after 7:30pm Central US time. Thanks for reading, hope to join you soon.
