How can I move a monster from my compendium to my journal?

I want to move a monster from my compendium to my journal. The first time I move a monster from the compendium to the map, it will appear at the top of my journal entries. If I accidentally delete that (I think I did anyway), now I can drag the monster onto the map and it doesn't appear in my journal entries. I've heard that is what happens if there's already that character sheet in my game.  How would I find and delete such a character sheet?  It isn't showing up in my journal... I simply want to move a specific monster into my journal.  That monster is not already in my said journal, to the best of my knowledge and searching...

Check to make sure you haven't archived instead of deleted (there's a link for archived characters t the bottom of the journal tab.) Archived characters and handouts are still in your game, just hidden. But normally, if you delete something, there should be no issue with pulling in fresh compendium copy and having it appear in your journal.

I don't see an archived link: If I do an archive (of the handout for example) it shows up but as the only thing there...
Finally found a work-around.  I went into another campaign, put in the monster (a Salt Devil), then used the transmogrifier to port it back into my main campaign. Then the monster now appears in my journal.

Is the monster not in any of the collapsed folders that you have there?
Haha!!!!     You solved it. Somehow I thought it worked like the Compendium and would list everything that fit the search (regardless of folder level)... I didn't realize I had to search in the journal for "Salt" and then un-collapse every possible folder at every possible depth to see if it was residing in one of those... Didn't occur to me to un-collapse folders.  I just happened to have the folder I was working with un-collapsed and I had "salt" monsters appearing in my search so I didn't think to also go un-collapse everything to see if there were things in other folders...  I guess I thought it would be more user-friendly.  But, now I know!
