The weeks in Waterdeep passed quickly as the group waited for the next Council to convene. The group tended to individual interests during this time, but came together on a couple of occassions. Rhogar , Halle , and Naivara met at Flower Garden Books . The place looked more like a greenhouse than a library thanks to the Elven king's constant gifts of flowers. Naivara gave Halle a boquet of rare, beautiful feywild flowers to give to Livia . Rhogar collected the remains of the strange, broken crossbow and its fiery bolts which were confinscated from the half-dragon brother of Chemicranth . Rhogar was convinced he would be able to repair it. Titus , Halle, and Naivara paid another visit to Livia at the Temple of Lathandar . Together they spent some time with her under the watchful eye of the priests. They convinced her to have a private talk, and after a quick chase to elude their shaperones the four were alone for a short while. Together, they managed to convince Livia that something was wrong there and she was being used by priests loyal to Amaunator . Finally believing them, she voluntarily left the order, much to the priest's dismay. Rhogar and Varis planned to rob a noble who a fellow guild member learned was living incognito. Upon successfully infiltrating the residence, they discovered it belonged to Halle's brother Frederick . The meek Halfling noble returned home to catch them in the act, and they fled as he called for the guards. They found very little of value but grabbed an envelope sent to Frederick from Amn on the way out. After two weeks, all the delegates arrived and the Second Council of Waterdeep convened on 1 Alturiak. The party was called to appear and share what they experienced over the past few months to all the assembled members. They relayed all their adventures, strating with their trip north through the sea of moving ice where they rescued Mccath the Crimson and battled Arauthator , to their journey south into Najara to find Varram the White in an Anaurian ruin, and ending with their defeat of the dragon Chemicranth who was choking travel along the Trade Way . The group learned that the rescue of Mccath the Crimson convinced the Arcane Brotherhood to pledge their support against the Cult of the Dragon, with mixed reactions from the members. The live capture of Varram the White was also a cause for concern among some members, due to possible rescue attempts. While debate raged around them, Titus took a moment to let Ontharr Frume know about the spy they learned about from the ruins. The party offered various counterpoints to the council's worries. Notably, the potential for Giant allies was suggested due to the group's earlier encounter with Blagothkus on board Skyreach Castle , and the Council decided to send delegates to Harshnag , a frost giant ally of Waterdeep, to explore this possibility. When old business was settled, new business began. Cult of the Dragon raids in the Misty Forest were discussed, but King Melandrach dismissed the concerns as an Elven affair, and informed the Council the raids had already been stopped. A new face around the table was then finally introduced. Elia was not a young woman with fine silver hair, but an ancient silver dragon here on a mission. She explained that the machinations of Tiamat and her followers must be opposed, and a gathering of the eldest of the metallic dragons had been called in order to discuss and coordinate their duty-bound retaliation. By ancient tradition the mortal races were to be given an opportunity to send their own delegates and participate - Elia was here to formally extend that invitation. The Council of Waterdeep members were abuzz about the possibility of having the metallic dragons as allies against the cult. Based on previous performance, the Council agreed after little debate to have the party represent their interests in this gathering. Elia confirmed with each member, one after the other, that the party would have the ability and power to speak for that delegate as their represenative. All agreed. With the formalities ended, Elia announced she would return to the meeting place in the Nether Mountains , and she would bring the party with her if they wished. It would only be a two day journey with her, but they would need to leave within the hour. Elia suggested the party would be able to teleport back once the gathering was concluded, and Varis agreed he could do that. Before the party was dismissed, they were asked what the Council should call their group. After a short discussion, they announced they were to be known as Flowyr Powyr . They left the meeting to quickly gather what they needed for the trip to the Nether Mountains... At game start it is 1 Alturiak in the Year of the Star Walker's Return .
