I got the opportunity to play in four Adventurer's League games (for the first time ever) this weekend as part of D&D Virtual Weekend. I do run a weekly regular D&D game on Roll20 so I know firsthand there are some slowdowns especially on a Saturday night with six players. But participating in the AL games this Friday through Sunday (especially the two Sunday sessions), Roll20 was painfully slow when clicking an attack or casting a spell. We were using Discord for audio/video and I'd let the DM know yes in fact I did click on a character ability please wait for it to resolve in the Roll20 chat window. Seemed like the feedback from other players and DMs were things were running slowly for them as well. D&D Virtual Weekend is one weekend a month. Is it like this this each time these games are run on Roll20? Is the newest approach with the (potentially) limitless virtual server machines that can be spun up and time shards adequately resourced to absorb the extra load during D&D Virtual Weekend?
