Here is an explanation of the setting: - The Valley of the Ancients was the center of dragon civilization in eons past, but the planet was invaded by off worlders who fought against the dragons and their allies, the first men (a mix of man, monkey and lizard - large creature). Some of the dragons were warned to hide and did so. Their imperial palace and burial grounds were hidden magically and they were given a stone tablet to help them find it after the war was over. But after the war the dragons went their seperate ways, splitting up the tablet into shards and vowing to look for the palace together, but the dragons were divided and did not trust each other. They made a pact that they would not directly fight each other, but thru their allies. They created the first dragonsworn whose oath of protection gave them the power to know which direction other dragons or dragon sworn are located. The oath also prevented the dragonsworn from revealing the dragons location, so it was safe to send them out into the world. It also gave the dragonsworn the power/right to challenge another dragon to a duel. But if the dragonsworn killed a dragon, not just defeated them, their bond would be broken and they would be permanently marked as an oath breaker.***[ 2:11 PM ]***The main city is Tarsh. It was partially destroyed thousands of years ago except for the self enclosed wealthy section. So the town is still surrounded by massive piles of rubble. People who want to scavenge the rubble/ruins must obtain a permit and pay 10% of the treasures value. The original inhabitants lived for a very long time and still roam the valley as rangers helping keep the forces of evil at bay. Tarsh is ruled by a council of druids. The race, class and subclass options might be restricted to Player's Handbook - we can discuss it on discord. I want this campaign to focus more on personality of the character, not abilities. That being said if you are not into role playing and are more into rolling dice, there will be plenty of combat too. I would like to have players stories integrated into the overall story if the player is OK with that. i hope it will be light hearted fun.
