King Thornduk - Sounds strange...

Returning to the Soldarak hold was not what I had expected. My brother was not to be found, but my clansman seemed willing to accept my rule. The first day was beyond what I had expected. Though, truth be told, it was exactly as what should be expected. Rash ruling, combined with a less than noble General, has resulted in some initial challenges. Ruling a kingdom will require a new approach. Aligning resources, speaking with the merchant rulers of the clan, and building strong alliances will be what we need. Maintaining strong teams that continue to delve deep into the mountains, searching for ancient DWARVEN artifacts and weapons can continue to be a source of further strength. Additionally, I need to meet with the prospectors to stake a claim to the Goranda Gap. I will need to send a force to secure the area and build an outpost as a base of operations. Sadly, I think it may soon be time to part company with my friends. I cannot continue to go on extensive missions outside of the holds. I need to show my people that I will remain committed to ensuring Clan Soldarak remains strong.
Dwarven politics is fucking boring.  After we returned to the Soldarak clan we spent what felt like an eternity watching the dwarves quibble about border disputes and whatnot.  I wonder if Thornduk's rule would be enhanced if I turned into a T=Rex and ate a few of the troublemakers?  We were told of a schema in the Mournlands for a device that would neutralize dalkyr artifacts.  That could be really useful.  We finally got some action as the castle was invaded by these singing lizard men and a giant purple worm.  Apparently the group fought these before.  We managed to put them out of Thornduk's misery.  It is possible that they were gated in by Dyrrn or Thronndmir or someone else opposed to thornduk's rule.  I hope we get out of here soon.  I can't stand more politics.
Dear diary, I feel bad for Thrornduk. This confirms. again, that I would never want to be famous or a politician. I don't think he is cut out for this because he is too honest and good-natured. Being King is going to crush his soul but I will always be at his service if called. Plus side is access to better things for me and the rest, haha.
Thornduk is king. I am not sure wether that is an amazing thing, or a really sad thing. On the one had it means owe have an ally always waiting to help fight evil. On the other hand, he can't be king and roll with us so it seems like I may lose another friend. When I lost sonn and my sister, I vowed never to lose another, I lost edvald (though his death isn't really my fault) and I may lose thornduk, some protecter I turned out to be. How do I go back to the clan and say I am ready to help them protect the continent if I can't even protect my friends. Oh and also I got eaten by a purple worm, note to self don't let that happen again.
Seeing Thornduk as king was... odd. I could never take on the responsibility that he has as of late, but despite his obvious discomfort with the politics Thornduk has a way about him that evokes trust and confidence in those around him. I think he is more suited to this life than he realizes. Once again, something that I had banished came back for a piece of me, as did the rakshasa. Thornduk's call to kingship, Vellios's obligation to queen Mab, and these foes who we thought we had vanquished returning serve as a reminder that none of us can outrun our destiny forever. I fear what that may mean for me in the coming days.
