What should a new DnD player be looking for a game

Hi guys, I was just wondering I have not played DnD since I was a teen and I am looking to learn to plat again. I looked around the posted games and nothing seems specifically geared towards that goal. I did notice some paid games that might be what I need but I want to make sure that is what I should be doing before I go an drop money on the sessions. So in short is one of these paid beginner oneshot games going to be what I should be doing or will I find free games geared specifically to beginners?  I don't have an issue paying as it is a pain to teach newbies but I want to make sure that is the smart move and if anyone had any DM recommendations

Well from experience as someone who always played online since I started dnd a while back its really a mixed bag, You can find good dm's that are fine with teaching you for free but that can be really hard, and its basically a die roll and can take quite a while to find a decent group on the free side, now paid while supposedly an easy way to get into a game since not everyone is clamoring to join them as free games for obvious reasons but while a lot of them say that they are newb friendly it and that can be true you are also risking money, so I would say if you have patience and time try free games and hope you are lucky to find a good group, if you got the cash and not the time try and talk to the DM beforehand and get to know them and get a feel of who they are and I guess try your best judgment, I'm gonna be running paid games and always take it upon myself to talk to any new player and see if I like them and they like me just to make sure both sides are satisfied.
