[LFP][5e][PAID] The Seekers [FRIDAY 8 p.m. CST]

Hi there!  My name is Koi, I'm an experienced DM of 5+ years, I've run multiple campaigns and played in many more. I'm an author and I take great pride in my work, which includes coming up with compelling and engaging stories for people. I'm looking for a wonderful group to become The Seekers!  My campaign will be set in a homebrew world called Xen using D&D 5th edition rules, Xen is a low magic setting and throughout the course of the campaign I hope to shape the story into something truly unique to you and your characters! I'm looking for 5 players to delve into the world of Xen and uncover the mysteries of the world.  Important Information:  This is a paid game! The cost of which will be $15USD per player per session via paypal  I am definitely a more roleplay leaning DM, but I enjoy running combat just the same!  My game comes with wide access to the compendium, making creating characters easier and giving us access to a wide knowledge base.  I am a dedicated DM, I try to run sessions on time every week and I should hope that my players return the same effort by being punctual and attentive The sessions for this campaign will be run using Roll20 and using Discord for voice communication The plot hook below serves as a basic introduction to the campaign, if this interests you please send me a PM with:  Your discord name and tag (remember that it's case sensitive) A brief introduction of yourself, and What kind of experience you're looking for in a campaign, as well as in a DM Roll20 Disclaimer:  This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of $15USD per player per session via PayPal. Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements. Plot Hook Xen is a world of coloured history, for the longest time the Mainland was split in twain by the bitter wars which raged between the technologically advanced Kingdom of Xerados and the holy crusaders that represented the Kingdom of Vaysh. Finally, after thousands of years of ongoing conflict, the war came to an end on the Day of Union. Soon after, the kingdoms began to flourish, their resources and time directed towards exploring the known world and meeting neighbouring countries heretofore unknown.  Accompanying this exploration was the discovery of arcane magic from the Emerald Spring and the technological wonders found in the Black Mountain. Then, one day, all holy scriptures, divine rituals and rites...disappeared without a trace. The Holy Kingdom of Vaysh was buckled, their strongest paladins, their most powerful clerics losing their abilities to fight as they once did. For all intents and purposes, divine magic had been reset.  Now, one hundred years later, magic of all kinds has found its place in the world. The Holy Kingdom has slowly started regaining knowledge of their old powers, but much still remains a mystery. Where did it go? Why did it disappear? Who is responsible for a theft on such a grand scale?  All of you woke up recently, perhaps it was a week ago, perhaps it was a month ago, but some time within the past three months each of you woke up clutching a black and gold book to your chest. The book is mostly black with gold trimmings and decal, upon the face of the book is the outline of a white owl’s head, above the owl in gold writing reads “The Seekers.” Curiously, the book seems to be empty, the pages have nothing on them, all but the first.  “The Seekers rise to meet the early dawn, breath haggard and shallow. Their journey has been long, but something calls to them. Inside their beating hearts, resonating each pulsing wave with the hum of the earth, they march ever forward. The lake ahead sparkles in the morning light, the city which rests beside it bustling with life, the smell of the salty air mixes with the scent of street food as they finally reach the town of Bluewater.”
