Besides that, it is pretty straightforward and standard-setting. The party so far has focused on assisting a local city-state that is under siege from their rival state and is helping to deliver an ancient artifact that helped keep the state from freezing. You are drifting around the earth is "The Odyssey", the U.E.D.C.'s main base of operation and capital ship that orbits a dead earth in the background. Earth is celebrating in tandem - a bicentennial party for joining The Universal Alliance, a collective alliance between distant advanced alien races - other humanoids of great empires from across the universe. This setting is still dungeons and dragons 5e - just with a big ol' Sci-Fi skin over it. The other "aliens" from the alliance are the other races from D&D. Elves, dwarves, tabxi, and others are all there. Classes are all the same - a lot of technology is to the level where it can be represented by magic, but also the universe has many mysteries.
