Macro not working for one player

Greetings ladies and gentlebeings,

I come before you today with a conundrum. I use the initiative tracker, and in one of my games I have a token macro for each character to roll initiative. This works for all players and characters, except one... I can not for the life of me figure out how to fix it. All other players can use the macro just fine, and when I select that token the macro works fine even when I am signed in as a player. Does anyone know how to address this? And ALL of the other macros this players uses work just fine...

Thank you in advance for your insight.

What is the macro you are using? Is it on a specific character sheet, or copied to each player's character, or in your collections tab?

It is an initiative macro that is in the collections tab, but is called out in each character sheet. It was copied to other characters before and has been since with no issues.

If you can post the actual macro (in case there's an issue with it somehow) and screenshots of the settings for the character sheet, and what specifically is happening when the player tries to use the macro, it might be possible to guess what's going on.  There's no way to guess without seeing a bit more info.

Here's a few possibilities:

  • An issue with the macro
  • An issue with the character sheet settings
  • The callout on the character sheet is incorrect
  • The player is using a different browser that isn't supported
  • A script is interfering somehow
