The party tracked the cult leader's amulet to somewhere on the estate of Lady Cromwell, who lives in the port city of Elthaster. Asking around, they discovered that she is known for philanthropy and for addressing the concerns of the townspeople, and that she inherited the family's properties four years ago from her parents when they retired after the North Coast War. The Cromwells are traditionally scholars of magic and keep the city's lighthouse. Oscar, sneaking around as a spider, slipped onto her estate and discovered three mages discussing elementals, but was not able to understand the technicalities in play. In his attempt to leave, he turned back into a half-elf, causing one of the mages to run into the room and attempt to restrain him with webs. By turning into a giant spider he escaped the webs, but was scorched by a fireball as he fled. When he returned to the others, he was berated and told to leave the city and lie low while the rest of the party attempts to secure a civil audience with the Lady Cromwell.
