Weekly Game Session Summary #52 (03/27/2021)

A Thank You For Playing today's Dungeons & Dragons 5 th  Edition game of 03/27/2021 - From 10:00 am EDT, until 1:30 pm EDT, and our 62 nd Gaming Session, goes out to:   Barbarian – Human - Marcuria Violezi -  Connor D. Wizard (Sage/Scribe) – Drow Elf -  Daniel M.     Whom Could Not Make It Today!   Monk – Elf – Farren Nidanas -  Bahrrenn Drakke     Game Summary for Saturday (03/27/2021):   Opening Scene: Day 20 : July 4th,  2:00 pm   The adventurers are currently in Neverwinter City and decide it’s time to head back to Falcon’s, (real name: Gustaf Stellern), hunters’ lodge.  The trip is approxiamately 40 miles following the south shoreline of the Neverwinter river, (known as Nethlur by the ancient dwarves). The river is also know to stay warm throughout the year thanks to the volcanic Mt. Hotenow, 35 miles north east of Neverwinter City, and 30 miles north of Thundertree. A new addition to the party is feralda, an elf wizard whom they met in town. The trek is uneventful, only encountering typical wildlife like a lone hungry wolf, that Avery was able to keep calm and feed half a ration from Feralda to, as they continued to travel onwards. They finally reach the hidden campsite, to see Reidoth the druid , Falcon and his hired hands Corwin the cook and Pell the stablehand. There are 3 horses with them, including Falcon’s horse, Baatorius. After greetings, Reidoth informs them that his forest friend have been keeping an eye on the lodge of which it is estimated that 20 orcs, along with the elephant sized boar, are there and also to where the Orcs have been traveling. Falcon, informs the group that the only ways into the lodge are from the main gate on the west side or the gate that opens into the north yard on the east side and the gate to the animal pens in the south yard also on the east side. There are orc guards watching from atop the main gate and the tower on the east side. The adventurers approach the lodge from the south and looping around staying in the tree line to the north side. Rolo cast invisibility upon himself and Avery,  ritually casts an area of silence from the outhouse to almost center of the guest house wall, along the north palisade. Marcuria cast Mage Armor upon herself to boost her armor to at least 13 + her Dexterity modifier, which lasts 8 hours. Then casts the Longstrider spell upon herself to move 10 ft faster than normal (40 ft), for an hour. Rolo, takes a spool of hemp rope with a grappling hook and attempts to hook it along the roof line of the guest house which is 10 feet high but fails to have the hook catch onto anything! Rolo, casts the illusion of a small child, while hidden back in the tree line in an attempt to lure the two orcs standing watch outside, at the north yard gate. At first the child is ignored until Rolo moves the illusion back towards the area of silence, where Dia had cast the minor illusion of a child, drawing something on the guest house wall. The orc guards decide to follow him and scare him off and then spot the other child as well. The child drawing on the wall, taunts one of the guards with physical guestures, who moves closer into the silence zone with the other one following and glares at him menacingly trying to scare both kids away. The adventurers then attack the two orcs in the silenced area. Initiative rolls are made and Combat Round #01 begins: Juan, casts the Magic Weapon spell upon Marcuria’s gauntlets, giving them a +1 then fires his light crossbow at Orc #04, missing him! Dia, casts the Web spell in an attempt to ensnare the two orc guards, however both avoid the entrapment and move at half speed to get fully out of the webbing surrounding them. Falcon, fires an arrow from the tree-line with his long bow and missed Orc #03! Avery, casts the Vicious Mockery spell at Orc #04, who fails his wisdom save and takes 7 psychic damage! Rollo, rolls a critical 20 and casts a Fire Bolt at Orc #04 dealing 11 fire damage and defeating him! The guards in the tower did not notice this is going on. Roqar, just stays hidden in the tree line. Orc #03, moves out of the webbed area now! Feralda, casts the Fire bolt spell at Orc #03, hitting for 13 fire damage! Marcuria, runs out of the tree-line to attack Orc #03 and is spotted by a guard on the tower. The guard shouts an alarm! Marcuria, pounds Orc #03 with the gauntlet punch, dealing 6 bludgeoning damage and defeating him! End of Combat with those orcs and another new round of combat now starts as the two guards that were standing inside the north yard gate comes running out and spots Marcuria, still inside the silenced area.   Combat Round #01: Avery, uses Bardic Inspiration on Marcuria, lasting 10 minutes, it will give her a 1D6 boost on rolls, she also dismissed the Silence zone! Dia, moves closer to the walls to stay hidden from the tower guards and readies to cast Ray of Frost! Rolo, casts a Fire Bolt at Orc #09 for 9 fire damage! Feralda, fires a Fire Bolt at Orc #14, dealing 19 fire damage! Dia, fires off the Ray of Frost as an Orc approaches her but the shot goes wide! Juan, nails Orc #09 with a bolt from the light crossbow, dealing 6 damage and defeating him! Roqar, moves to get closer to the combat! An Orc moves towards Marcuria to attack! Farren, nails Orc #10 with a bolt from a hand crossbow for 9 damage! Riedoth the druid, stays back. Marcuria, missed punching an Orc with her Gauntlet punch, almost stumbling but stays on her feet! Marcuria, gets another punch in and this one lands, dealing 11 damage! Falcon, fires an arrow with the long bow, dealing 7 damage to Orc #10, defeating him! End of Combat!   Dia, dismisses the webbing now. The orc guard in the tower appears to be shouting down orders in orcish to others on the ground. The adventurers now move to do more combat with the Orcs! Combat Round #01 begins: Dia, casts the Flaming Sphere spell and sends it rolling into two of the Orcs coming out of the north yard gate, the dodge the sphere enough to take only half damage of 7 each! An Orc, swings his great axe at Marcuria and missed! Juan, casts the Beacon of Hope spell upon all party member within 30 ft of him, bestowing hope and vitality for up to 1 minute! Everyone has advantage on Wisdom and death saving throws, and gains the maximum amount of hit points a heal spell gives out! Reidoth the druid, stays back. Farren, deals out two fist (unarmed strike) attacks and both hit for 8 and 10 damage to Orc #15, defeating him! Falcon, fires an arrow from the long bow, nailing Orc #16 for 7 damage and defeating him! An Orc runs near Marcuria, stopping short to throw a javelin at her, striking for 9 piercing damage! Rolo, sees the elephant-sized boar with electricity dancing along its four tusks as it emerges from the gate, along with an orc and casts the Fireball spell at them! Gorthok the Thunder Boar, takes the full damage of 26 while the orc took half damage of 13! Gorthok the Thunder Boar, stampedes towards Marcuria, using his Thunder Hooves, dealing 11 bludgeoning + 7 thunder damage to her! Roqar, slashed Gorthok the Thunder Boar, with the magical +1 Talon long sword for 8 damage! Avery casts, the Healing Word spell upon Marcuria for 8 hit points healed back! Marcuria, uses her Rage ability: In battle, you fight with primal ferocity. On your turn, you can enter a rage as a bonus action. While raging, you gain the following benefits if you aren’t wearing heavy armor:
-You have advantage on Strength checks and Strength saving throws. -When you make a melee weapon attack using Strength, you gain a bonus to the damage roll that increases as you gain levels as a barbarian, as shown in the Rage Damage column of the Barbarian table. -You have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage. If you are able to cast spells, you can’t cast them or concentrate on them while raging. Your rage lasts for 1 minute. It ends early if you are knocked unconscious or if your turn ends and you haven’t attacked a hostile creature since your last turn or taken damage since then. You can also end your rage on your turn as a bonus action. Once you have raged the number of times shown for your barbarian level in the Rages column of the Barbarian table, you must finish a long rest before you can rage again.   Then Marcuria uses her Form of the Beast ability to grow a tail, of which she whips at Orc #17 dealing 2 rage + 13 piercing damage, slicing him in half! She then uses the Gauntlet Punch on Gorthok and missed! Feralda, casts the Scorching Ray at Gorthok the Thunder Boar, dealing 6+7+10 = 23 fire damage! Orc #18, throws a javelin at Marcuria, striking for 4 piercing damage! Falcon, fires an arrow from the long bow, missing Gorthok the Thunder Boar!   Combat Round #02: Dia moves the Flaming Sphere, trying to ram it into Gorthok the Thunder Boar, but the beast makes a successful Dexterity check and dodged out of the way! Juan, fires a bolt from the light crossbow, striking Orc #18 for 10 damage! Reidoth the druid, stays back. Dia, swings her short sword, missing Gorthok the Thunder Boar! Falcon, fires an arrow from the long bow, striking for 7 damage and defeating Gorthok the Thunder Boar! Gorthok, then vanishes from sight! End of Combat!
