[LFP][Free][5e] Ongoing campaign needs two players - Thursdays 7:00 PM MDT

I'm looking one or two new players for my D&D 5e campaign , Sea of Fallen Stars . We play every Thursday at 7:00 PM MDT. Please don't sign up unless you are interested in playing every week!  This is an ongoing campaign, and I'm looking for players who are comfortable creating level 3 characters and jumping right in to the fray. We use the standard roll20 5e character sheets. The current PCs include a bard, cleric, druid and rogue (all level 3). Most offical classes/races are allowed; no homebrew, Unearthed Arcana, or Tasha's Cauldron of Everything content. We use Discord for voice (microphone required). I stream video of myself, video is strictly optional for players. We joke a lot, but I keep things moving during combat. My policy is that if two or more people show up and want to play, we play - but attendance is usually pretty good. You get XP if you play, or if you agree to let another player play your character. The campaign is currently taking place in the northern marches of Cormyr, in the Forgotten Realms. There are a lot of monsters to fight, but we do a lot of roleplay, and there is a mysterious backstory that may take the party far from Cormyr, in time. I anticipate that this campaign will take the player characters past level 10. If you are interested, reply by telling me a little about yourself, your TTRPG experience, and a sentence or two about the character you might want to play.

I am a newer virtual table top player with some experience.  I feel comfortable bringing a human variant fighter at level 3 based on the current party choosing wizard initiate feat.  Im pretty outgoing guy that never met a stranger and feel i can jump into play.  im in CDT so and can be available thursday nights regularly.  I enjoy RP with some combat mixed in.  I have worked in ROLL20and discord.  Not a superuser but i can get a round.  Please consider me for the slot..  (I have microphone)
At present I would say I'm more curious than interested, interest requires information and you haven't provided very much at this point. Standard D&D falls a little farther in favor of the 'Tyranny of the Dice' than I'm personally comfortable with. What measures of addressing this do you endorse? Also how stringent is your definition of homebrew? While I'm not opposed to it I'm wondering why you choose to use a second service for the vocal component when Roll20 has the option, I'm adequately equipped on the hardware front. As for myself I'm a rather quiet, often intensely private person, who takes commitments extremely seriously. As a player I'd say my theoretical understanding is currently somewhat higher than my level of practical experience though the latter is by no means especially close to zero. I dislike short sessions, appreciate intrigue, and the more intricate forms of narrative. The characters I come up with almost invariably have extensive backstories that I at least try to season liberally with potential plot hooks. Of those the one that seems to fit the requirements of your metaphorical table the best is a rather.. untried Elven Blade Pact Warlock of a slightly more martial persuasion (Not a hex-blade....) there's considerably more detail but I prefer to keep the details from my fellow players until it comes up in play...

Hey Brook. Thanks for the forum post.  A Little Bit About Myself: My name is Harrison, but online typically people call me Snow. I am married and currently a stay at home husband with a lot of free time. My hobbies include: writing, writing music, gaming, spending time with my wife, doing art, playing Magic the Gathering, and going on walks. When not playing TTRPGs or MTG, I do also stream on twitch a variety of games, currently focusing on retro games. My TTRPG Experpience: I've been playing TTRPGs for a long while now, but I've been playing 5e for about a year. I currently DM two different campaigns, both of which I homebrewed/wrote. The first game has 8 players and the other has 4. My wife is a player in both games. I really enjoy DMing and creating, but I also really enjoy role-playing as a character I can focus on instead of all NPCs. Which, is why I am interested in being a player in your game.  I am also very familiar with Roll20 seeing it as how I run all my games through it. I have also used AVRAE in discord and am quite familiar with that as well. About a Potential Character: From what it looks like, you have a few classes that can be very supportive already as well as some DPS from the rogue (I suppose depending on what subclass they went as). So, I am thinking either a Barbarian or a Paladin for some front line tanking. That being said, as far as a backstory for them, I'd like to know more about your works before I can really figure out how my character fits. That being said, I think my character will most likely be lawfully good or neutral good. I don't care to play evil characters because I find it easier to cooperate (IC) with my party if my character is more neutral or good aligned.  Hope to hear back from you:)  -Snow Also, my discord is Snow#2949. I can be reached easier through discord because it all goes to my phone.

HEY I’m Andy / m0hgan I’m an easy-going guy. A 30 year old dyslexic who lives with a cat named Ripley (known terrorist). I sail (badly) on the windswept waves of my local lake and I’ve been playing TTRPG for 11 years more or less: Pathfinder 1e, dnd 3.5 4e 5e, and others. This PC is a rebuild of my first OC when I was 8. He was my first PC in 3.5. He is a CG half elf fighter knight named Bowen, the son of a craftsman and baker. He always wanted to be a knight like his grandparents. A noble family who knew Bowen’s grandparents took him in as a squire. Years later, together, they helped a town under attack and Bowen became a knight. He now roams the land looking for adventure. He also occasionally sails (badly).
Hello there! My name is Pluto, I am 19 years old girl. I love RPG very much, I’ve been doing rpg’s for at least five years. I really love my puppy and playing video games, I am a lesbian so if you’re not comfortable with that I totally understand if you don’t want me to join. I get along with people pretty easily. I’ve been playing dnd for over a year, my group had to stop due to COVID and not being able to play online consistently. I’m extremely easy going and mostly free unless I have doctor appointments or if I’m watching after my puppy. I am new to roll20, but I am a fast learner so it should take me just a session to get used to everything. The character is most likely create would be a changeling and I’m open to make whatever class would best fit the group and our needs. I’m a big group player and love playing with other people. I do have adhd so I am a little scattered brain, but it’s a organized mess. Hopefully you’ll consider me as an option, I would really appreciate it. Thank you! -Pluto
Thank you, everybody, my game is now full.
