adventurers had made their way across
uneven ground rising to a ridge, when 18 hulking orcs ascend a similar ridge
across from you, separated from you by a 60 ft wide, 10 ft deep gully. The orcs
unleash terrible battle cries as they are joined by a half-orc Anchorite of
Talas, with elongated claws. The
battle here starts with a volley of missile ranged weapon attacks and Marcuria
tries to taunt some of the orcs, being successful on taunting four of them
along the front line! Combat
Round #01 Continued: Orc
#03, tossed a javelin at Rolo and strikes him for 8 piercing damage! Roqar,
picks up a tossed javelin hurling it
back an an Orc, striking for 8 damage! Farren,
fires an arrow from a long bow, nailing Orc #10 for 9 damage! Orc
#04, taunted by Marcuria, comes down the ravine on a successful dexterity check
of 19. Dia
whom, prepared a spell unleashes a Flaming Sphere upon Orc #04, who fails to
dodge the sphere, rolling a 4 on the dexterity save and takes 7 fire damage,
defeating him! Another
taunted Orc successfully comes down into the ravine on a dexterity roll of 19. Avery,
casts Heroism upon Marcuria, Rollo and Roqar, now they are immune to fear and
gain +4 temporary hit points! Orc
#05, tossed a javelin at Roqar whom used her Uncanny Dodge and it missed her! An
Orc fumbles trying to toss a javelin, and stumbles prone for 2 rounds, avoiding
falling into the ditch! Orc
#02, missed Marcuria with a javelin! Another
Orc, also missed Marcuria with a javelin! A
taunted Orc makes his way down and stumbles on a dexterity roll of 6 into the
ravine, prone for 4 rounds! An
Orc tossed a javelin at Marcuria, missing her! Feralda,
casts a Fireball spell, hitting 7 orcs for 23 fire damage! The blast kills Orcs
#05, 13, 15, 16, 17 while Orcs #04 and #06 took half damage of 12! Rolo,
casts a Fireball spell, dealing 29 fire damage, defeating Orc #02, 03, 11, 14! Reidoth
the druid, casts the Entangle spell, trapping Orc #18 and #10! Orcs #08 and 09,

picks up a javelin, tossing it back at an Orc but missed! Combat

guides the Flaming Sphere successfully into Orc #01, who fails his dexterity
save rolling a 10, for 6 fire damage! Juan,
casts the Divine Favor spell, empower him to deal an extra 1d4 radiant damage
on a hit! Marcuria
tries to taunt the remaining Orcs, being successful with Orcs #08, 09 and 18! Orcs #10, 12 and the
Anchorite saved against it! An
entangled Orc tries to break free of the plants and succeeds rolling a 13
strength check with a DC of 12! Roqar,
picks up another javelin, tossing it back at an Orc but missed! Farren,
fires his long bow, striking Yargath the Anchorite of Talos for 9 damage! Orc
#12, tossed a javelin at Juan and missed! Yargath
the Anchorite, casts the Lightning Bolt, dealing 22 damage to Marcuria and 11
damage to Avery, Feralda, Rolo, and Roqar (thanks to uncanny dodge)! The blast
temporarily deafens them being 160 decibels. Avery,
casts the Healing Word spell, healing 5 hit points back to everyone she sees
within 60 feet! An
entangled Orc breaks free from the plants trapping him! A
taunted Orc comes down into the ravine successfully on a roll of 10! The
prone Orc stays prone this round! A
taunted Orc enters the ravine successfully on a roll of 13! Faralda,
casts a Scorching Ray upon Yargath the Anchorite for 16 fire damage, defeating
him! Rolo,
casts the Magic Missiles spell upon Orc #10 defeating him! Then retreats into
the treeline. 2 nd

casted Ray of Frost as a bonus action dealing 11 cold damage to Orc #01,
defeating him! Juan,
fires a bolt from the light crossbow, hitting the Anchorite for 13 piercing
damage! Faralda
Casts the Scorching Ray upon an Orc, hitting for 11 damage! 3 rd

Casts the Scorching Ray upon an Orc, hitting for 9 damage! Combat
Round #03: Dia,
casts the Sleep spell (21 HP of creatures affected) upon the Orcs #08 and #09! Juan,
missed Orc #12 with a bolt from the light crossbow! Marcuria,
successfully climbs down into the ravine on a roll of 17, using a rope and
grappling hook attached to a nearby tree! Orc
#18, goes down into the ravine himself successfully on a roll of 12! Roqar,
follows Marcuria down into the ravine Farren,
fires an arrow with the long bow, missing Orc #18! Orc
#12, successfully moves down into the ravine on a roll of 19! Avery,
casts Vicious Mockery at Orc #12, but he rolls a wisdom save of 20, shaking off
it’s effect upon him! Feralda, casts a Fireball spell, dealing 36 HP
full damage, which defeats Orcs #06, 07, 08, 09 and 18! Rolo,
casts the Magic Missiles spell upon Orc
#12, dealing 3+2+2 damage, defeating
him! 2 nd
Attacks for Round #03: Dia
moves the Flaming Sphere to get closer to an attacking Orc! [No longer needed
as all Orcs are defeated now!] End
of Combat! Searching
the bodies finds coin pouches on them and a vial upon Yargath the Anchorite! The
party finds a spot in the Neverwinter woods to rest in Dia’s magical Tiny Hut
and nothing disturbs them during that time. Rolo casts the Identify spell upon
the vials glimmering red liquid contents and finds it’s a potion of greater
healing (4d4+1)! The
party continues onwards guided by Reidoth’s woodland friends and the map found
in the woodland manse.
Ominous storm clouds gather in the sky as you
approach a ninety-foot-tall hill with trees spreading across its slopes. Atop a
hill is a large ring of eight upright stone structures, each one consisting of
two 10-foot-high vertical stone slabs spaced 5 feet apart and topped with a
3-foot-thick flat lintel stone.
