Roll templates vs 3d dice. Most sheets use roll templates to handle dice rolls (limited logic) and formatting. All dice are rolled upon execution and the roll template decides which rolls should be displayed. ie critical hits, confirmation, crit_damage, success, etc. 3d dice ignore roll templates and are simply triggered by the rolls made. Hence, extra 3d rolls may be shown but only certain results are displayed based on the roll template. Also, 3d dice only show the raw roll. ;-( Chat results trump 3d rolls. Hope this helps. If this is a straight roll without a roll template ie "/r 1d20", the 3d dice "should" match. If not, there may be something else happening...
