This is a homebrew campaign that will start off with my own adaption of Lost Mine of Phandelver to be incorporated into my homebrew world. Hopefully it's different enough that even experienced players can still enjoy it somewhat fresh! :D After LMoP we will be exploring my own world and the story is yours!
...I say story is yours but this game won't be entirely sandbox. Although as all DND games do there will be quite a vast degree of freedom, there will be an overarching conflict that you can take part of. Of course, it is still completely up to you how you wish to interact with this world!
I'm hoping this game will go on more than 3 weeks, so please only apply if you're interested in a long-term campaign.

Hi! My name is Charlie! I'm 24 years old grad student who got fascinated by DnD approximately 3 years ago and had been crazy about it ever since. I'm from Korea where DnD is not really huge, so I had to resort to online method to find a group to play with, and that led me to Roll20! I'm fluent in English and I'm told I don't have an accent so you don't have to worry on that front :)
I'm a relatively new dm. I've only DM'ed few campaigns with close friends so don't go too harsh on me ;) I'm still learning, and I'm open to any feedback that you're willing to give me! Also I understand I can't be perfect and that this game might not be best suited for everyone, so I won't hold it against you if you feel that you should find another group. Just leave me a note on how I could improve myself ;)
I'm ok with all the official supplements and Unearthed Arcana, and even some homebrew if I get to take a look at it first! So go wild! Keep in mind that I may restrict some features even if they're official material depending on compatibility with my world and other party members.
There will also be custom rules for resurrection, spellcasting, long rest, scrolls and potions. The changes are fairly minor (bar resurrection) but if you're uncomfortable with any slight change in the ruleset you're used to and are very obdurate in your ways, this may not be the best campaign for you to join.
The campaign is set in the continent of Auria, which has been blessed with several powerful bloodlines of sorcerers. Almost everyone on the continent had at least some degree of sorcery magic available to them, and it wasn't hard to find a powerful sorcerer within the world. However, some tragic event had lead to a commotion, and eventually the situation most had feared came to be: Sorcerous magic was no more. There were still very few odd ones out who had some level of sorcery left in them, but it seemed that over short period of time most of sorcerous magic had waded off from Auria. This gave birth to immense chaos and uproar all across the world, leaving most political figures and leaders perturbed.
However, this doesn't concern you, surely. These are for important people to figure out, and how could you, a simple folk residing in Theya, be even involved in any of this? You have far more important, real and tangible matters to attend to, like what to have for dinner or where to acquire some extra gold...
