Temple of Elemental Evil Thursday

Welcome to the world of greyhawk.

A terrible threat gathers it's power. Throughout this region, savage marauders bring destruction. Monsters are on the prowl, preying on flocks, rampaging through croplands, and attacking homesteads and travelers. In settlements, discord and suspicion grow. Sinister strangers lurk in the shadows, whispering about how everything is soon to change. This year brought an unseasonably warm and stormy spring. Tales spread of flooding, windstorms, wildfires, and tremors.

Join us as we embark on an journey for glory. It has been ten years since the great battle of Emridy meadows that saw Cannoness Y'dey bring forth her army of righteous warriors to clash will the evil forces of the Temple of Elemental Evil. After the battle the evil was driven back and the temple of elemental evil sealed with the dark vestiges locked away for eternity. What is left? Opportunity for any adventurer wishing to make a name for himself. Whether it be for fame or fortune or good will and power alike.

Your party is now approaching the Village of Hommlet, having ridden up from lands of the Wild Coast. You are poorly mounted, badly equipped, and have no large sums of cash. In fact, all you have is what you wear and what you ride, plus the few coins that are hidden in purses and pockets. What you do possess in quantity, though, is daring and a desire to become wealthy and famous.

Thus your group comes to Hommlet to learn if this is indeed a place for adventurers to seek their fortunes. You all hope, of course, to gain riches and make names for yourselves. What the outcome of this will be is uncertain, but your skill and daring, along with a good measure of luck, will be the main ingredients of what follows, be it for weal or woe.

To either hand forest and meadow have given way to field and orchard. A small herd of kine graze nearby, and a distant hill is dotted with the white of a flock of sheep. Ahead are thatched roofs and stone chimneys with thin plumes of blue smoke rising from them. A road angles west into the hill country there, and to either side of the road ahead are barns and buildings—Hommlet at last! The adventure begins….

  • This campaign is visits all ends of the spectrum of what a roleplaying game has to offer. There is a rich story that will drive your character's, however you will also delve into a massive mega dungeon with countless combat encounters. There is room for all play types in this campaign but be warned there could be a sharp contrast between combat and roleplaying at times, which is entirely dependent on your characters actions!

About myself

Hi, I'm Seb, nice to meet you. I am 30 years old. I started playing D&D over 15 years ago. I discovered D&D when my friend Chauncey introduced me to AD&D. My first character was a dual wielding berserker. This was in the early years of high school and I become instantly addicted. I would often DM for my friends and spent my weekends pouring over my D&D books while drawing maps and writing campaign story, nothing has changed since then.

I Joined roll20 at the end of 2016 when another friend of mine from school introduced me to the platform. I started running paid games in July 2016 and have evolved and developed my skills as a DM since then. I Run games of D&D 7 days a week and still want more!

I like to stick to the rules as much as possible when running published modules. I also like to practice voices for NPC's and love writing story's and building worlds in my numerous homebrew campaigns. I own every piece of published content by WoTC for D&D 5E and also many other resources such as Tome of Beasts by KFC. I devote most of my time and energy to D&D and to create the best experience possible for my players.

My discord channel is full of active players, many that have been with me for well over a year. You are welcome to join the channel and ask anyone in the group chat if you have doubts of the quality of my games.

About paid games on roll20

Here are some reasons why a paid game provides a much better experience.

  • Consistent, reliable and punctual DM. I run games 7 days a week and have many long-term players. This is my full-time job, and I take it seriously.
  • Committed players. Like minded individuals who love D&D as a hobby and want to see a campaign through from start to finish
  • Guaranteed acceptance into a group. As long as the rules are followed and there is a spare slot available, you shall be accepted in a first come first serve basis. There are tons of players on Roll20, and significantly less DM's.
  • A experienced DM who is proficient with roll20 and efficient in running games.
  • Hours of behind the scenes, quality preparation. I spend countless hours creating content, adjusting modules and preparing for each session. Your payment not only helps pay for the session time, but also the preparation I put into the game. That includes not only things like thinking up fun new encounters or extending the pre-built story with custom content, but also stuff like answering your questions outside of game time, and helping develop your character as the game goes on.
  • Pro Roll20 Features. I'll be using API scripts, dynamic lighting, and other Pro features that will enhance the gaming experience.

General rules

  • No evil alignments please
  • There is to be no PVP or inter-party conflict. Please try to design a character that will be able to work as a team and function with the rest of the party.
  • If a player is abusive or discriminates myself or another player, they will be promptly removed from the game and given a permanent ban and any outstanding payments will not be refunded. This is to ensure everyone plays in a fun environment. There is a zero tolerance policy for this kind of behavior.*

Monthly subscription and refund policy

The monthly subscription to this game is $50. This subscription price takes into consideration that people will occasionally need to miss a game session for various life reasons, and refunds will not be provided for single missed sessions.

Refunds for sessions will occur for the following reasons:

  • If the DM is notified of an extended need for absence over multiple weeks (such as vacation, illness, etc.)
  • If there are technical issues with Roll20 that cause the game to be cancelled.
  • If the DM is forced to cancel a session for any reason.
  • If you have not paid for subscription payment by the 28th of the previous month, you will be removed from the game and the slot will be advertised and you will be required to reapply.
  • At the DM's discretion for any other reasons. Life happens and while I depend on subscriptions to make ends meet, I am open to clear communication about any payment issues you may be having.

As the DM, I reserve the right to accept, deny, or remove players from the game, as well as the right to cancel the campaign at any time. Should any of these extreme situations occur, outstanding subscription balances will be refunded in full to all effected parties. Pro-rated sessions are charged at $15 individually.
