Kingdom of the Centaurs

Hi all! New DM, but been playing for several months in many games, so I've learned a lot in a short amount of time.

We play Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6pm, and will typically go anywhere from 4-6 hours. You must be able to play both days. We also sometimes have pickup games when we have enough people free, so having a flexible schedule is a plus.

Current party composition: Divine soul sorcerer, Knowledge domain Cleric, Hexblade lock/fighter, hunter ranger, Fey Warlock, Warlord Fighter

This Campaign takes place in my Homebrew world. Here's what you need to know:

  • Mature Content Warning. While I won't act anything out, this game contains sexual themes. Swearing is permitted, but excessive swearing is annoying and isn't tolerated.
  • My style focuses more on Combat and Exploration than RP. While there is a main story, the majority of RP will be left to the players interacting with each other. I'm also the type to skip over shop interactions for common items.
  • This game takes place mostly within one country. There are a few opportunities to visit another one, but I've limited it to one main country in order to keep it simpler on myself. Intentionally trying to break the "invisible walls" may result in death by Kraken or sand sharks....
  • For a similar reason, Interplanar travel will be heavily restricted.
  • Technology level is late Medieval/Early Renaissance, with reports of a few individuals with better tech. Magic is uncommon among average people, but is widely known about.
  • If you couldn't tell from the title, there will be Centuars everywhere. I've made my own homebrew race, and some rules tweaks. Beyond that though, I'll be using mostly stock D&D.
  • I can't into voices. I usually won't try to not torture you. However if its wanted I'll give it a go.
  • Voice chat is provided by Discord, and is REQUIRED. No mic, No discord, no service.

Required reading:
This game uses a custom race and some class tweaks that WILL affect character creation. Therefore please read the following thoroughly before applying.

Centaur Race Homebrew: (Even if you don't plan to play one, these subraces will come up a lot.)

Synopsis: (Reading is optional)
250 years ago, this continent was ruled by an Evil Empire. They ruled for 500 years with an iron fist. It was controlled by Devil Lords, with a strong presence of a death cult too. Dragons freely roamed the countryside. Most races were enslaved, with the exception of Tieflings. Their armies consisted of many lesser devils, hordes of undead, and an elite troop of lizard-men warriors. Needless to say, it was a horrible place to live.

However, a rebellion backed by many of the gods was started. A great Centaur Hero personally lead and fought in many battles, at the head of the largest army. The armies of the free races comprised of almost all known races. With much effort, the Empire of evil was defeated.

He launched a massive cleanup campaign, driving out most monsters from the surface. He also organized druids to restore the decimated landscape. As part of this process, the Devlish/Undead temples were destroyed, and the land made pure.

The hero was named King, and founded the Unitary Kingdom of Sentara.
However, Since then the world has been relatively peaceful, with only the wars of men interrupting it.

That was, until the Enigma Plague hit 75 years ago. Uncurable. Unknowable. Not even miracles seemed to help. A horrible disease that made its victims look like mummies. In a matter of two years, a third of the world's population of dead. The kingdom, and the world, seemed ready to collapse.

However, as fast as it appeared, it disappeared. The intervention of the gods was credited, but not many know what really happened.

Now you, a band of adventurers, are sent to this once great Kingdom with a message...
