-Time and Date are only a Placeholder for now.-
In an alternative universe very much like ours, the sole difference lies in the interest for Space Traveling. In this timeline, the moon was not an end, but the first among many objectives. Following the American and Soviet moon colonies of the late 70s (and the Cold Space Wars), the United Nations' branch of spacefaring, the ISO (International Spacefaring Organization) took on the lead to mankind's upward visions. Man reached Mars in 1992, its colonization soon following afterwards. Now nearly self-sufficient, man's curiosity has pushed his sight further into our solar system, to the dwarf planet Ceres.
You, along with your companions, are part of an international 18 men crew aboard the ISO's newest infant, the Taranis. Hosting a new engine revolutionizing space traveling, the Taranis is expecting to reach Ceres in a record time; three months. The trip, still subjectively long, is bound to be a smooth one. Indeed, most of the facilities are built into three sets of rotating spurs which, by spinning around the central shaft of the ship, guarantee artificial gravity for day-to-day activities.
The mission itself, despite being miles away from home, is a simple one: Reach Ceres and settle down a temporary site. This milestone alone is the primary focus, though scientific investigation takes a secondary priority. After a month's stay, the crew will be on its way back to Earth.
Absolutely nothing will go wrong.
Positions still opened,
1 Navigator,
2 Computer Specialists,
1 Janitor,
The only unavailable positions are the ship's Captain and the Scientist-in-Chief.
Anyone interested in joining this grand Space Odyssey is welcome to apply. I would like to know your previous Rp and CoC experience, along with whatever position you are interested in. Since CoC characters require initial stat rolls, characters' background should be fully fleshed out following stats acquirement. Furthermore, as the setting is an international space mission, characters from different cultural backgrounds are appreciated.
The campaign will not host sessions. Rather, it will be a Forum-like experience where players will interact with their character through posts. I will then interact with the player (or players) depending on their actions. Progression with therefor not be based on sessions but on developing and ongoing posting.
