Tales From Off-Peak City

I'm a game designer who's created a series of digital games set in a near-future urban universe where cyberpunk dystopia meets magical realism. Musicianship and art are fundamental pillars of power in a world where both are commodified and in dwindling supply.

I seek to deepen the narrative around this world by bringing it into the realm of live tabletop roleplaying. The Fate Core system provides a robust, flexible framework for the experience I'm looking for. If you don't know FATE, I can explain the basics to you in less time than it takes to boil water. Characters can be brawlers, musicians, rogues, chefs, DJs, fashionistas, government operatives, subway train conductors, really whatever they want. But what unites them is a murky organization, The Circus, recruiting them against their will in order to fulfill an agenda that can only be revealed as each game session unfolds...

Recent sessions have been a blast and I want to reach out to more folks who might be a good fit for this. For now, I intend for sessions to be a series of loosely connected one-offs, vignette encounters that build towards the larger fiction of the world. If there's room for something more long-form and regular to emerge, we'll cross that bridge!
