Got your attention? Okay, good. People don't read this blurb enough.

Welcome to my next short-term game. This game will have themes of mystery, a little douse of horror and confusion- as well as a struggle against a poorly understood foe. If this doesn't match your fancy- look elsewhere!

Schedule? The LFG's end date is not the first session. It is the final point for applications, where I'll then pick out more people after a week or so. We're aiming for a morning start CST; So roughly around 10am CST start times; My games are planned for a minimum of 4 hour runtimes, going further if others want to.
I'm available any day of the week, including weekends for this timeslot. However, I'm biased on picking days I don't already DM on- so Sunday/Wednesday are less likely to happen. Here's a doodle: https://doodle.com/poll/deussaxhh9b975be

Voice: It says text only, but I leave that decision to the players. I'm fine with playing on voice for combat, but roleplaying on voice is a strict no-no for me.

CONTACT: Post a question in the FAQ thread, if you prefer not to do so publicly, send me a roll20 PM or pm me on discord at Archiplex#2035. I'd prefer most questions be public, however.

The town of Reaverridge has always had it's history of ups and downs. Located in a neutral territory between the bloodhungry nation of Gorkstae and the fey-loving elves to the north of Rubella, it's had it's fair share of woes stemming from the occasional conflicts between the two nations. However, it's managed to survive for nearly sixty years within all of that, and grown from a small thorp of a few dozen people to the thousands that live there now. There's a sense of pride that fills almost every resident- the knowledge that Reaperridge has grown such a thick hide over the year has led people to believe it can withstand almost anything. Thus so, the people are just as cocky and bullheaded as the town's reputation allows.

Reaverridge is a trade city composed of men and women from all over the world; The elves of Rubella in particular have a large presence in the city, whereas the orcs and goblins of Gorkstae have a low concentration- given that they prefer tribalistic and nomadic lifestyles. The largest families in the town are fairly wealthy and hold a bit of sway over how the mayor, Councillor Evean, creates his laws. Still, the place is generally well off, happy- and prideful. It has a robust military that has managed to scare off, and even defend against, several large armies.

However, amidst the peace- strange things have been occurring in the past few months. Caravans have stopped coming by the waves- and while this hasn't harmed the economy all too much, it's a worrying notion that the city may become poorer soon. Additionally, some of the civilians are beginning to leave the town without a single word- and never return, possibly moving out and away in order to live in distant lands. While nothing has happened as so far as to cause issue, there's a growing shadow over the denizen's hope for the future- one that's managing to dent their otherwise solid pride.

All of this has been nailed to a wall by the most recent tragedy- After the mayor's son, Alduin, left for a hunting trip with four of his friends- they returned with him missing. Further baffling- they couldn't explain where he went, or why he was lost. It was as if they had completely forgotten he came with them at all- not knowing why people were asking them about where he was, and recollecting no knowledge of him leaving with them.

This, of course, angered the Mayor- and they were imprisoned for the time being. From there, the man began sending letters of requests for the most famous folk in the town- the strongest they could muster in order to rescue his poor son from wherever he ended up at. This, of course, means that you were sent a letter- and gracefully agreed, whether for your own advantage, or a genuine care for the missing child.

Of course, this is just a simple veil over what has truly began to happen in the poor town. Truly, something odd is happening in Reaverridge.
