The Gauntlet

This is designed as an entry point to the system, so no experience with 13th Age is needed.

Also, the groups will be based on prior arrangement and what not, so I'll go off of 4-6 players.

A 13th Age Adventure for 4-6 characters of 2nd level

Buron Firehand, Warden of Foothold has called for a new season of “The Gauntlet”, a tamed living dungeon that alters every run. The Gauntlet is a test of skill, ingenuity and teamwork. Each chamber has a scrying gem linked to the judges’ chamber. Each season brings a new bracket, and this summer, it’s the novice’s turn. Entrants are randomly placed into teams, and the teams that reach the end of the dungeon without egregious behavior are given 100 gold and an enchanted pin, along with any treasure the dungeon provides. Entrants who complete The Gauntlet are on the shortlist for future jobs for the Warden and the pin is a good sign for prospective employers outside the Dwarven lands.

Players will use 2nd level characters with no incremental advances or magic items and 100gp. One-use items can be purchased “off-screen”. Pre-generated characters will be available.
