Adventures in Faryne

The Faryne Empire first came to power one thousand years ago under the rule of Asis Fayre. A masterfully skilled diplomat, she brought an era of peace to the warring nations of the land; anyone who refused her gentle domination had the values of unity and friendship beaten into them (no, the irony of this wasn’t lost on her). This earned her the title Sol Invicta, The Unconquered Sun, and over many years the reign of Faryne's imperialist god-queen came to be quite respected, admired, and feared.
And, upon her golden throne, she sits to this day: watching over her people with a stern but motherly demeanor.

Whether you've got debts to pay, want to learn all there is to know about magic, or are just looking to make some quick gold, you five, fine adventurers find yourself in the nation of Faryne under the employ of the intrepid Archivist's Guild. Serving directly under the Queen, the guild is tasked with discovering and cataloging all the myriad forms of magic found in Faryne.

About The DM:
Hello! My name is Katelin and I’m currently going to college in New York, but I call sunny California my home. I've been playing for nearly 2 years now and started DMing at the start of this year. In general, story takes precedence over rules every time with me. If you can convince me that something is possible I'll probably let you do it. I'm a big fan of the collaborative story element of TTRPGs, especially when it comes to character development. The actions of one character influence all the others so much that you never know what's coming next! A fun gaming session can be as simple as all of the party members sitting around a table and just talking to one another. Maybe it's the night after a big boss battle and you guys need to unwind or maybe intra-party tensions are at an all-time high and you need to hash it out, both scenarios are ones that I love. And, don't get me wrong, I love high-stakes adventures and villainous mind games too. But nothing really beats a couple of friends just riffing off one another!

Another thing, I strive to have games that promote diversity and inclusiveness. Themes of racism/sexism/homophobia/ect will not really play a part in my stories. To me, D&D is an escapist fantasy and I prefer to keep things lighthearted and fun. This is not to say that there will not be awful people(Because there definitely will be), just that the focus of the story will be on adventure and camaraderie.
