Sky Jacks, is a fantasy/steampunk game revolving around the crew of the airship The Aurora. We will be using the Genesys RPG system, it is a narrative-focused system and it's pretty easy to learn so new players are welcome. We play weekly at 7:00pm EST, for around 3-4 hour sessions.
We recently lost a couple of players and are looking to bolster our ranks, our current crew of PCs includes:
-A Human charismatic faceman
-A young technology enthused alchemist/ physician
-A roguelike mysterious Skyjack
Ever since 'The Fall' the world has been a dangerous place. The stars disappeared from the night sky, and the world began to change. The once docile beasts of the land have grown in size and become less predictable and more ferocious. The plant life of the field has taken on a mind of its own and has become a deadly overgrowth, wiping out whole civilizations. The waters have become cursed, stripping sailors of their humanity and driving them mad. Long forgotten horrors have surfaced upon the land, and new threats fell from the sky when the stars fell. The remnant of civilization have taken up arms against their once peacefull home and some have banned together to discover a way to reverse the calamity.
With travel across the land being as perilous as it is, and travel across water being almost unthinkable, the nations rely on the use of Feather-Weave Air Ships to conduct trade, exploration, and even war. Players will start by taking on the role of ranking crew members aboard the Red Feather Syndicate's skyship 'The Aurora'.
The game will be using the Genesys system in a homebrew world. A list of some races are available below, but feel free to bring your own ideas if you want something not presented. Genesys is very flexible and I want the PCs to be able to influence the story in any direction rather than the GM railroading everything.
