The Master's Vault

Welcome to the Master's Vault!

Hello there! This campaign is ideally tailored for new players, but I will consider more experienced players too. A little about me; my name is Allison, I am 21, looking to get more experience in DMing, and the Master's Vault is great for new players and DMs alike. This will be my third time running the Master's Vault.

"For more than a century Elaria Feywing, known to many as The Master, mentored young adventurers in combat, exploration, and magic. Little is known about the elf woman’s past and her days as a wandering wizard, but her status as a teacher is legendary. Many young fortune-seekers made the trek out to the small village of Parabor on the frontier of the Merriam Vale to seek Elaria’s expertise. She took only a handful of these pupils every year. Her favorite group of disciples was also her last and most recent... YOU."

Game Information

This game should take 2 to 4 sessions to complete lasting about 3-4 hours each. Sessions begin 11am EST each Saturday, so make sure this fits your schedule. Characters will probably be level 3 by the end. Party size will be 4-5. If you cannot make the first session (unless there is an emergency or other compelling reason), you will be replaced.

Character Information

For stats, you can roll (there is a formula in the game to help with this), use point buy or standard array. There are six premade characters you can use:
⦁ Dragonborn paladin
⦁ Human cleric
⦁ Dwarf fighter
⦁ Halfing rogue
⦁ Elf wizard
⦁ Tiefling bard
⦁ You can make your own character instead if you want.

No monster races (goblins, bugbears, kobolds, gnolls, etc.)
No evil aligned characters either, although being morally grey is fine. I am not afraid to punish unreasonable murderhobo behavior.
Each character must be a different class

Which Books Do I Use?

I will be sticking to the Player's Handbook and Xanathar's Guide to keep things simple, but if you want to use a race, spells, or something else from another published material, let me know beforehand.

Discord

We will be using Discord for voice, a decent mic is appreciated. I recommend having the discord app or checking discord at least once a day to monitor notifications. Also, try to make every session, or let me know if you can't make one in advance.
