Finding the Sky

It's been a couple decades since the Breach and Equestria was domed over. At first it appeared to be a good thing, as some of the love and friendship that had been bottled up in Equestria had exploded out and finally the Lands Beyond Equestria knew the joys of camaraderie and companionship, if only just a bit. While Equestria suffered in silence inside of its domed lands, the rest of the world saw a rise in peace and prosperity. The creatures of the Lands Beyond Equestria knew a bit of the plights of Equestria, but their longstanding hatred of the land that stole their happiness so long ago was strong enough that they stayed their influence, even though some knew that if Equestria were to fall, then the rest of the world would fall with it. However, they knew nothing of the true suffering of Equestria, and of what the consequences of their actions would be.

Now it's the present day. The Black Barrier over Equestria remains as immobile as it has for every day since it was first cast. Decades of peace have treated the Lands Beyond Equestria well. Plants have been growing stronger, harvests have been more plentiful, and the creatures have known a time when they need to be wary of every corner, every shadow, and every strange occurrence. There's still conflict of course. Millennia of wars and grudges don't disappear over night. But the creatures were happier. There was no longer a palpable air of depression and hatred in the air. Laughter, Kindness, Loyalty, Honesty, and Generosity permeated the lands and for the most part, life was better than it had ever been. However, soon new problems would arise, like they always do. Soon it was discovered that, over time, the heavens were slowing down. Their shear mass and inertia had kept them going at mostly the same rate as when Equestria was in power, but now it was undeniable: if no one could bring back the princesses of Equestria, then the sun and moon would stop in the sky, and the world would die. Most differences were cast aside as the knowledge that the end was coming dangerously close motivated those involved to find a solution. And so the call went out:

"To all those of the Lands Beyond Equestria, this is a message from your lords. To the strong, the smart, and the talented, your world needs your help. All those whom accept this offer will be participating in a project to send a team of our best and brightest into Equestria to find the princesses and set the sky back on its course. All those who participate will be handsomely rewarded and those whom enter the Black Barrier will be given the greatest rewards that the lords can offer."

However, in the commotion and the chaos, ancient enemies began to stir. They saw this as their opportunity. A world without Equestria is a world that's vulnerable to their power.

(This campaign will take place partly in the Alternate Universe depicted by GatesMcCloud named Cutie Mark Crusaders 10000 ( https://www.deviantart.com/gatesmccloud/gallery/44585809/CMC-10k ). This is a world where Discord returned again and corrupted the elements of harmony into Chaos demons. Sombra came back and turned Shinning Armor, Cadence, and Celestia into crystal minions. Luna ran away and became nightmare moon, but before doing so, she created the Black Barrier (Nightmare Shield as it's called in the comic). Trixie saved the Cutie Mark Crusader and they grew up into the heads of a rebellion against the forces of the Nightmare, Sombra, and Chaos. This is tagged as Warhammer because GatesMcCloud has stated that it was written as a parody of Warhammer 40K.

This will also partly take place in a headcanon part of the world called the Lands Beyond Equestria. This is the rest of the world, beyond the Griffinstone Mountains to the east, and into the Unknown West. The premise is that when the founders of Equestria cast the fires of friendship spell on the first Hearth's Warming, it sucked love and friendship out of the lands around Equestria. Ever since then, while Equestria enjoyed peace and friendship, the rest of the world knew very little of those things. It mostly knew of war and suffering. The only thing that joined the Lands Beyond Equestria was their common hatred of Equestria for taking away their happiness. There are a few bastions of light in this world, but they're few and far between.

This campaign will use the rules of Roleplaying is Magic 4th edition ( http://www.roleplayingismagic.com/ ). Specifics are further elaborated on in the Player Applications topic.

Due to a lack of players, the starting date has been pushed back.)
