Hunt for the Thessalhydra (Stranger Things Starter Set Adventure)

Hello all!

This will be a run through the "Hunt for the Thessalhydra" adventure found in the Stranger Things Starter Set. For those who don't know, it is meant to be a 5e adaptation of the D&D adventure that the kids were playing in the Pilot episode of Stranger Things. It is a level 3 campaign. It is also meant to be a one-shot, so this is what we will try for here.

I'm looking for players who are most focused on having fun in a casual environment. I like to try to strike that perfect balance between strong gameplay and casual fun, so players with this same goal would do well. I like to give leeway to and even reward creative playing, but I also try to keep things grounded to the spirit of whatever adventure we are playing within reason. If this sounds like something you enjoy, then by all means, I'd love to hear from you.

A little about me:

I have been playing D&D 5e for over a year. I am often a player but I have DM'ed a few adventures IRL and am looking to do more of this. I am somewhat new to Roll 20, but I am learning fast.

The thing I enjoy most about D&D would have to be the blending of cooperative story-telling with fun and flavorful gameplay mechanics.
