I am looking to start a regular weekly game in a homebrew setting. Looking at 7:45pm to 9:45pm GMT+12 (NZ time) every Monday with the exact date of the first session to be confirmed.
I have a few years of experience as a DM now, I run a weekly lunchtime game at work and have run several one-shot games at conventions in my home of Wellington New Zealand. I'm looking for up to 4 regular players, I prefer to keep the party a bit smaller so everyone gets a bit more time in the spotlight. Video would be preferred, it'll be more like playing in person :-)
It's a homebrew setting with a reasonably serious tone. Info can be found at
I didn't put it here because whatever my talents may be brevity isn’t one of them.
It's a low magic setting by D&D standards. There's one Wizard college in the known world and it's not nearby. The main nation has four families whose bloodlines produce a handful of sorcerers in a generation and perhaps two dozen clerics who have been granted divine spellcasting powers by the local Pantheon.
Humans only, with other homebrew races possibly available depending on your character concept.
All PHB classes are available. Exactly how they'll fit into the setting is something for discussion. If there's some other class or archetype you're interested in it can be discussed.
Act 1 will be railroad-y, if that's a word. I ask that you follow the plot. There will still be choices to make, you will affect how it turns out, but please don't wander off. The purpose of this is to establish the setting and the party, for everyone to get to know one another, and for me to tell a bit of a story. Once Act 1 is complete the campaign will open up and the PC's will choose where they would like to go and what they would like to do next. My one request at that point will be please stay (mostly) together.
Once Act 1 is complete things will still happen in the world which the PC's may or may not be involved in depending on what they choose to do.
I'd like each PC to have their own story arc which we develop between us via email between sessions. It doesn't have to be massive (I'll be working on 4 of them!) but I'd like it to be ongoing. How much of this you tell the other players is up to you but it will come up during the sessions, that's rather the point :-)
If you’re interested in my game, thanks! Drop a message in the forum and we'll see what we can make work.
We'll send a message to this Game's GM asking their permission to let you join the game. If you want, you can include a brief message below as well:
