Legend of the Five Rings FFG: Land of Glass and Steel

It is coming up to the one thousandth anniversary since Rokugan and the Crysanthemum Throne were founded.
To celebrate the occasion the clans have decided to make an event of this year's gempukku. The samurai will enter adulthood in the new millennium for all of Rokugan to watch.
This will be a joyous occasion, nothing will go wrong.

Setting
Legend of the Five Rings is a game set in a mystical samurai setting.
The game is set in a land known as Rokugan that is led by 7 great clans, the leader of the 7 clans and the Empress are the rightful rulers of the land, through virtue of being descended from Great Kami.
Bushido is very important in this setting
Magic and the spirits in everything are also important
Martial skill, artistic skill and skill at courtly intrigue are also important in the setting.

However unlike in most L5R games Rokugan is changed slightly as in the past the land used to be ruled by a somewhat futuristic civilization. What happened to them? No one knows. It is from the time before the Great Kami so to research it is to commit treason. Still the ancient ruins and technology litters the land.
The Crane Clan has made their main home out of a ruin that rises far above the clouds
The Lion is rumoured to have an artifact that helps them dominate in any war.

No one truly knows how the artifacts work, the skills to create and repair them are lost to the ages, doors that ask for a code are forever locked or bashed down.

You are however Samurai, you have your katana, your skills, the kami and Bushido to make your way in the world.

Other Stuff
This game has been underway for a couple of months already. The Gempukku and the latest story arc has happened. The pc's are trying to figure out what to do next, so you won't have to worry about coming in and not knowing what is happening.

For your character we are just going to say you are friends with the existing PC's and for one reason or another join up with them as they walk the waves and wander Rokugan trying to accomplish their dreams. You will also start with the same xp as them.

For GM style, while I try to keep fair to your actions, the dice and the setting I am very much in favor of cool stuff and letting you feel cool. I want you to pull off cool and impressive things just as much as you do after all.

-Character wise currently have 2 Kakita Duelists and a Ronin Monk.
