Uses Hombrew Classes
It's the 1980s, Baby! And things are looking pretty radical in the town of Thompsonville, Oregon USA. The adults are content for the most part, the kids hang out at the mall, and nothing big ever happens in their quaint little town. However, ever since Halloween night, strange things have been afoot. Robberies at the mall, kids and adults going missing, is this the works of something from this world Or another? It's up to a gang of high school kids to figure it out!
THE GAME:
Recently finished a game with two groups. Starting a new one with 4-6 players.
TIME FLEXIBLE, can change to people's availability.
This is based off the Cow Chop Series: Class of 198X, published by Adam Thompson at UnicornRampant.com. The setting takes place during the 80s, featuring retro themes similar to Stranger Things, Goonies, Breakfast Club, all those good 80s tropes. This game is divided into two parts, with the first part taking primarily in the mall.
Because this game takes place in the 80s, traditional classes will not be used and all characters must be human. The players will create American Teenage characters, in their Junior or Senior year. When you apply below, simply give a description of the character and what "trope" they are under. If you are accepted, I'll be sure to contact you on Discord so we can draft up your character using the custom classes used for this module. Below are the listed classes:
Jock=Strength
Rebel=Constitution
Party Gir/Dudel=Dex
Nerd=Intelligence
Girl/Boy Next Door=Wisdom
Rich Kid=Charisma
I'll prioritize diversity in party (I.E. One Nerd, one Jock, etc.) If you never saw Class of 198X, that's fine too, even better. If you have, it's a little different than the show, but still the same idea.
THEMES:
High School 1980s Retro Modern Teens Sci-Fi Fantasy Mystery Mallrats
