Nestled in the rocky foothills of the snow-capped Sword Mountains is the mining town of Phandalin, which consists of forty or fifty simple log buildings. Crumbling stone ruins surround the newer houses and shops, showing how this must have been a much larger town in centuries past.

Phandalin’s residents are quiet, hard-working folk who came from distant cities to eke out a life amid the harsh wilderness. They are farmers, stonecutters, blacksmiths, traders, prospectors, and children. The town has no walls and no garrison, but most of the adults keep weapons within easy reach in case the need for arms should arise.

Visitors are welcome here, particularly if they have coin to spend or news to share. The Stonehill Inn at the center of town offers modest lodging and meals. A couple of doors down from the inn, posted outside the townmaster’s hall, is a job board for adventurers.

This is a pay what you want for the session which means, if you can't pay, join anyway. Not everyone has the discretionary funds to pay to play. Recommended amount is $10.00 but use your judgment. I am playtesting my adaptation of the D&D Essentials Adventure. If you join and are playing, and need help with your character creation, I can do a session 0 with you on Monday Evening or even late Sunday Evening. All times are EST.

We will be using Discord for Voice and a headset and mic is a must. If you have excessive background noise, you will be kicked.

Characters will start out at 1st level. I am using PHB and XGE. No Variant Humans. Circle of the Moon Druid will be Nerf'd on the CR 1 shapes due to OP. Character creation will be done in game using 4d6, reroll 1's, drop 1 value. Roll Stats in order, Strenght, Dex, Con, Int, Wis, Cha. I will give you a 7th roll and you can replace any one stat with that value if it is higher than one of them. Also, use the Charactermancer to create your character. It limits you to what is in the compendiums and is pretty quick way to create characters. Other information will be available once you join the game.
