We are looking for someone to take up the mantle of Sylris the Elven Bard! 6th level glamour bard.

The Fire Mage:

The orcs of chaos have been seen using powerful war magics. Our scouts and diviners have revealed the source of this arcane power. The fire mage, Balur is training orc mages in her volcanic lair! The empress has charged you brave heroes with infiltrating her fortress and destroying her!

The legend of HeroQuest:

For many years the land has been at peace. The Darkness that once threatened to engulf it is forgotten, but the darkness was not destroyed, merely banished. And now it gathers strength once more, and an ancient evil stirs in the depths of the earth. The land has need of heroes, like Rogar and his followers of old. Without them we are doomed...Dare you take up the challenge of HeroQuest, and enter the underground realm of Morcar, the Evil Wizard? There are great treasures to be won, if you can overcome their fell guardians. The dark caverns hold many dangers - terrible monsters, deadly traps, and worse.

This adventure series will take place across several loosely connected session in a style similar to Adventurer's League, with drop in drop out participation. It will start at level 1 and level will increase at milestones completed during the 14 different, but linked, one shot adventures that tell the ongoing story.

Game Information

✨ 1 session. Wednesday, June 10, 2020 from 8pm-12 EST
✨ 14 sessions total, one per month. Drop-in/Drop-out play.
✨ Game Length: 4 hours
✨ Pay to Play: $15 USD/player donation made towards the Extra Life Charity.
✨ Group Size: 6 players max.
✨ Communication: Voice is mandatory. Discord is required for game session audio as well as out of game communication.

Player Experience

This game is open to anyone interested in playing! 5e is very easy to learn, and I can teach you everything you need to succeed. That said this game will be much more difficult than a RAW 5e game!

Player Expectations

✨ Be polite to your fellow players and GM, Wheaton’s Law Applies, “Don’t Be a Dick.”
✨ Be punctual. Excessive absenteeism will result in removal from the group. Your teammates and the ongoing story rely on you.
✨ Have access to a stable microphone and Discord. If you need help setting up Discord and getting connected to our channel, just message me.
✨ A fun, safe place to play. Racist, sexist, homophobic, or other intolerant behaviors are not welcome. Everyone deserves to sit down at the table and have a great time.

About the GM

Online I go by the handle CrashGem. I’ve been playing and Game Mastering D&D and other Tabletop games for over 26 years. I was a play-tester for 5e and have been playing it since release. I am very well versed in the rules. I’ve been using Roll20 for over 6 years, with over 7000 hours logged, dynamic lighting access, API scripts, and the skill to use them. As a graphic artist, I often create custom miniatures, maps, and materials for the games I run. Examples of game are available on YouTube

As a professional development expert, I am comfortable teaching others new skills Check out YouTube for examples. I also spent several years demoing tabletop and wargames at conventions for various companies. I am very comfortable at the gaming table.

I also enjoy running 26-hour long marathon games as fundraisers for the Extra Life charity. In the past 4 years, we have raised over $12,000 for Children's Hospital Networks.

My goal as a game master is to ensure each and every player “at the table” is having fun. Together we will build stories you will be retelling for the rest of your life.

Why play in a paid game?

I started running paid games in April of 2018 after experiencing a few paid games as a player. I was impressed with the commitment and investment of my fellow players and the DM.
