About the Setting

The game takes place in the continent of Tiseria, the biggest landmass of Ioriel. This campaign is similar to some West Marches games, in terms of the world taking shape by the current players. However, this is not a complete sandbox, I have played different stories, campaigns and one-shots, in this world, in order to have more than just a vague idea of its ways, customs, inhabitants e.t.c. I currently DM various one-shots in this world, as well as one more campaign, as to make the world feel more alive and have the players, shape it by their will, actions or ... unintended results.

I have already made a PDF about my world, that I will share to those that find themselves interested, in order to help them get a better understanding or idea, of what my world looks like and how serious I am about putting effort into D&D.

About the GM

Hello, My name is Ster, a 28 Years old with over a decade of experience playing a variety of tabletop RPGs and DnD in particular. My love of Dungeons and Dragons began as a small child when I fell in love with the fantasy genre, once I unexpectedly got my hands on the 3.5 edition of the game we all love. Most of my experience with Dungeons and Dragons has been as a DM, if not all. At first through necessity then (as someone had to run the games, and I was usually the one to organize these events), now as genuine love for storytelling and narration, as well as roleplaying and world-building.

I do my best to bring the world to life through description, memorable NPC interactions and story driven plot choices. My voice acting definitely could use improving, but a character is more than just a funny voice. Through mannerisms, word choice and cadence, I try to make my NPCs (both friendly and antagonistic) feel unique and important.

I am a huge fan of Critical Role, and though I am not Mat Mercer, I draw a lot of my style of DMing by observing his. I am a more RP focused and plot driven DM than I favor combat, though I never neglect that part of the game.

Why Pay to Play?

Running Dungeons and Dragons has been a passion of mine for many years. It has been and is a labor of love. But it is still a labor. By joining my game you can expect the following:

  • A dedicated DM who will be ready at game time with all materials prepared, using almost all tools available (such as dynamic lightning, high quality maps, etc). Here is an example map, that I have created https://i.gyazo.com/9d2d1cbf75f75b75be8e48adf261c90f.jpg for this campaign setting).

  • A responsive DM who is available outside of game time to respond to questions or comments as soon as possible. I try always to make time for those that are willing to learn more, have questions or just want to share feedback or ask for the DM's opinion.

  • An understanding DM who is open to criticism and will work with his players to create the type of adventure that the party wants to play. This is your game and I want to make sure that it meets your expectations.

  • An Inclusive, welcoming environment to play D&D. I do not allow any Racism, Sexism, Trans/Homophobic behavior at my table and will take any steps needed to ensure a safe space for all involved in my game.

Why I charge for my game

I want to give Paid DMing a chance, to be able to commit the time needed to prepare and create the adventures that I love to. I will use the money earned to offset the costs of my Roll20 subscription and other assets I purchase to run the game (both physical and digital content I bring into the game), Internet costs as well as my time for both running the game (~4 hour sessions) and preparing the game material (~3-4 hours of prep needed for a standard session).

if you are interested in my services as a DM outside of this game my schedule is very flexible and I can work with you and/or your group to find a time that works for you. Feel free to send me a private message, or a question, I am always willing to meet other D&D enthusiasts.

Payment Policies

1) Payments are expected within 24 hours before the games start time. If you are going to be late, let me know as soon as possible. Payment is required to play.
2) Canceled sessions will allow for players to either be reimbursed or have their payments pushed forward to the next week.
3) For players forcibly removed from the game, there are no refunds. Play nice and fair and removals are nothing to worry about.
4) This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of $12 per session per player via PayPal. Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements.
