What is Root the RPG?

Root: The Roleplaying Game is a tabletop roleplaying game in which the characters you play are anthropomorphic animal vagabonds—miscreants, rogues, outcasts, and renegade heroes adventuring across the Woodland. The vagabonds are highly skilled and capable, but they’re not really at home anywhere in the myriad clearings of the Woodland. So they move around, traveling the paths and crossing the dangerous forests, taking jobs for pay and equipment.

The game is easy on the rules but demands and encourages roleplaying.

What will this game be about?

It will focus on the band of vagabonds (the players) who are trying to get by in the wartorn Woodland. Adventures, capers and high drama are what we're going to have. This game has the backdrop of a war between different factions, meaning the consequences of war will be a prevalent theme.

What we are looking for

We are looking for three players for the game who wants to have exciting adventures and daring action together with others. We already have 1 player and 1 GM so we're aiming to be 4 players and 1 gm. We want players who like to play boldly and play in a co-operative environment. We want a good give and take between players and a big bonus if you can riff off the other players and build on what they say.

Some out of game rules:

• No PVP unless it's been previously discussed between players and even then it should not have large consequences. We're a party after all.
• No sexual violence.
• No psychopath/edgelord characters who only cares about themselves. They are not made for this game.

If any of this feels like something you would have a problem with then this is not the game for you.

Gametime

The gametime will be Mondays 18.00 PM (GMT+2) and a session will be around 3h with breaks as needed.

** NOTE** We are getting quite a lot of responses ( both on roll20 and on other pages). Your application is how we determine if you're getting into this game or not. People who put time into their application and show that they have a high interest in the game and are enthusiastic about the system are more likely to be considered.
