A secondary campaign to my other one, Vagrant Epocher's - D&D 4E, that is also open to introduce new players to 4th Edition and roleplaying. Will be playing through the published Adventure Path Scales of War. A preference for players unfamiliar with these adventures, and please don't look them up while participating. Looking for 5 players, but if no more than 4 are available, I, the DM, will create and use a DMPC. Games are Sundays 6 PM (US Central Time; check the page for time converted for your region). In game communication is primarily though Skype voice chat, so I recommend players have Skype and a microphone.
Recently, some players left, so I need replacements. I am also considering extra players in case some couldn't attend or fail to show up. We will be starting in the middle of a dungeon, but I will summarize and catch new players up. As an attempt to teach newbie players, I would encourage players with little experience with the system. I can help before the session with both D&D 4E rules and using the app. Current character roles still in the party are a Defender and a Controller.
If you choose to randomly generate ability scores, here are the rules: roll 4d6 and drop lowest (as normal) (in the tabletop, you can use the command [[4d6d1]] to generate each score) for each of the 6 abilities to generate an array; then roll 2 more arrays for a total of 3 arrays to choose from. An array is only valid if the total of the modifiers, before racial bonuses, are between +4 and +8 and no more than one is above 16. Only if all generated arrays are invalid will you be allowed to roll any additional arrays until you get a valid one. Please message me with a list of the arrays rolled before you create your character.
Though this campaign says there are 8 player slots, there will be 5 PCs in each session. The extra players are to take others' place if any are absent. If more than 5 players show up in a session, extras may stay around and spectate and may potentially switch out if anyone leaves early.
