Maze of The Blue Medusa

We are currently looking for 2-3 players to fill some slots in one of our two groups. Please apply in the correct spot with details! Happy adventuring!

THE STORY

Over the last few centuries, a strange phenomena has cursed the land. Entire cities have disappeared seemingly overnight. Scholars have pondered over these strange disappearances for what feels like millenia, wondering how an entire town and it's populous just disappear with seemingly no trace.

And it wasn't until very recently that an elderly archmage by the name of Erren Omahorn came into possession of a strange painting that might be the key to solving this mystery. His studies have proved fruitless until the last 3 years and with each city that continues to vanish, his determination to discover a solution grows even stronger. This is where our story begins.

THE CHARACTERS

In the late hours of a moonlit night, you awake to the sound of an annoyed coo. A piercing white owl watches you with bright yellow eyes. In it's mouth is a navy blue envelope, sealed with a stark white wax. Inside the envelope is a letter that details promises of glory, fortune, knowledge----anything that might appeal to it's recipient----in return for the completion of a daunting and dangerous task.

THE GAME

I've been itching to run this module for awhile now and finally have a bit more time in my schedule to really enjoy it. It's based on the book 'Maze of the Blue Medusa' by Patrick Stuart and Zak Smith. It isn't fitted for any RPG system specifically so that it can be adapted to just about anything and I've chosen 5e.

I intend to run this game as a bi-weekly campaign with two groups of players. I have one group of players that is tentatively set in stone but would love another group of new faces to DM for. Each group is going to have 5 players and their games WILL be taking place in the same world, so one group's actions may influence the others, etc etc.

With the holidays and such, I don't intend to start this game up until after Christmas. However I will be closing off applications for the game on DECEMBER 29TH so get them in before then! I would highly suggest you look over the campaign overview for a better understanding of what to expect and what to take into account when it comes to character creation. You can find that here: https://homebrewery.naturalcrit.com/share/B1-0VTmWtS

THE DM

I'm Ryan and I've been playing DND for way too long. I am currently a creative writing major turned theater major turned chef so I've got some experience in the writing and plotting, a lot of experience in improv and a whole bunch of experience in cooking (which isn't really helpful in dnd but hey). I've been DM'ing a full homebrew campaign for almost a year now and I like to think that it's gone pretty well. But this module has been begging me to play it for awhile now and I really just can't help myself. If you want to hit me up on discord with questions about the game i'm 'big kirby energy#5693' but just let me know you found me through this game ad or else I probably won't respond. If you've made it this far all I can say is please read the campaign document! There's a lot more explanation in there.
