Monster Hearts 2

What is Monsterhearts?
Monsterhearts is a Powered by the Apocalypse game focusing on Teenage Drama. However instead of normal teenagers, the players are monsters. It's full of of teenage Angst, the complex emotions of hormone driven teenagers added to the difficulty of not only struggling to become the person you are going to be, but struggling to keep the darker nature of your monster under control. Each Skin(Playbook) details a different kind of playstyle, how the Fae are all about promises or the vampire are all about manipulation. You struggle to discover your sexuality, where you fit in the terrible zoo dynamics of high school, fit in with friends, etc, etc.

What's the plan?
So my goal is to kind of explore the social situations that can arise in a game that is more character focused and less focused on the great adventure. I am looking for heavy role players to participate. It'll be Play By Post, because of time restraints and I'm also interested in exploring this game in that format. As such activity is required and I reserve the right to kick people out who aren't active enough. I also reserve the right to kick someone out who isn't playing nice with the group. Since the in character will be intense, I need players to understand that this is Role Playing, and as such a game. Out of character hostilities, or bigotries, will not be tolerated. 18 and older players only.

I'm also interested in the fact that no one bats an eye at violence in role playing games but when it comes to love, romance and sexuality, we all kind of giggle, at least in my experience. So it's a bit of curiosity on my part to explore these totally viable stories about fitting in, growing up and exploring relationships and sexuality. And in case you haven't caught on: Sex is a large part of this game. I plan to handle it tastefully. R rated only, we won't be doing anything explicit, past Heavy petting and kissing, we'll be fading to black for most of the more intense stuff. It is a large part of this game though. Sexual tension, out of control hormones...all of that. If at any point, any player feels uncomfortable about a scene, they can send me a private message and we will stop it/fade to black/handle it no questions asked. My goal, and yours, should be to tell an exciting story that may test our limits, entice emotional reactions in us(That's the core of storytelling right?) but should not trigger us or cross any hard boundaries that we have.

If you are uncomfortable with sexuality, exploring relationships, same sex relationships(This game has a system in place that helps you figure out your characters sexuality, through Turn someone on move),and teenage angst, this might not be the game for you.

So what's the setting?
Monsters are commonplace in the world. They aren't unheard of. This is a modern setting. The players are (Obviousley) playing one of these monsters. They are coming into their Sophmore year, an interesting time in any young person's life. Bodies are changing, feelings are stirring, hormones are going crazy. And for a monster, their darker selves are starting to emerge. Will they become the monsters they are destined to be, or forge their own lives into the world?

The players live in the fictional town of Southview. They go to Southview High, a cross species, all inclusive high school. Summer break has just ended and it's time to head back to school!
