“The only reason for time is so that everything doesn’t happen at once.”
-Albert Einstein
Mysterious artifacts that alter the flow of time, dryads, dungeons, mad wizards and ancient curses all await you in your adventure. Take on a quest to find the components needed to rebuild the fabled Infernal Machine of Lum the Mad. There’s only one catch, to do so you must find them in history itself. Venture back in time to a version of the Tomb of Horrors still under construction, the Temple of Moloch before it was ransacked by adventurers and more. Can you complete the Infernal Machine?
This is the 2019 WOC adventure produced in support of Extra Life. Characters for this adventure will start at level 5.
I’m a teacher by trade and 32 years young. I started my love of DnD with 2e back in the late 90’s. Since 2015 I got back into the hobby with 5e and have been running IRL games as a Dungeon Master more or less continually where time allows. I have run campaigns internationally, in Japan, Kuwait, UK, and Canada. I have run year long campaigns with as many as 8 players (though I prefer 3-5) and, as a teacher, I’m great at helping new players get the most out of the game. With recent shutdowns I’m making the move to digital platforms like this one and hoping to create some lasting memories for you.
I’m all about the cool rule. If it makes sense and is awesome, I’ll probably let it happen. The game is all about having fun, and that’s what I set out to do. That said, no game is fun without a challenge; if there is no risk, rewards have little value. I roll all my rolls in plain sight and try to keep it as fair as I can. I’m still getting used to all the tools Roll20 has to offer, but dynamic lighting exploration and custom character token combat are a guarantee.
-Character creation based on standard array (8,10,12,13,14,15), and core rule books. (Any deviations MUST be cleared well in advance)
-Show up on time ready to play
-Play fair and respect your other players. Remember that you are a team, small disagreements are bound to happen and fun to rollplay, but within limits.
-Your focus and attention, both to me and to other players.
