About the GM and the game:
I'm an Occupational Therapist and Board Gamer in Southern California.
I'm also a dad, so my gaming happens in the blissful me-time after bedtime.
Since my weekly board game group was put on hiatus status due to Covid, I've started GMing D&D online for my friends. My game is rules light, role-play heavy, easy going, and silly. I prefer for my players to think, interact, and problem solve before slinging swords and spells. Despite the fact that I'm new at this, I'm having a blast and my players seem to be having fun so far.
I'm currently looking to start a second D&D 5e game that is easy going, light hearted, and funny. The setting will be Waterdeep and the Sword Coast. The Acquisitions Incorporated crew will likely appear as NPCs. Shenanigans will will ensue.
I'm committed to being prepared with game and story content weekly and on-time. I don't have the core rulebooks memorized and may make the occasional rules mistake. Just go with it... it'll be a fun adventure nonetheless.
I'm looking for newer players (not experienced rules-lawyers) who have level 1 characters and are ready to commit to a weekly adventure. People like myself who are revisiting or new to D&D due to Covid would be perfect. I prefer to play with professional, educated adults, but I'm open to try playing with anyone as long as they refrain from discriminatory or disrespectful language (Hating goblins in-game is okay of course - you know what I mean) and are ready to play.
Let me know if you'd like to explore Waterdeep with me!
