The Immortal Creator breathed his last and his divine pantheon weeped dearly.
So consumed by their despair and despondency they forgot their duties and they let the Sun die.
Without its warmth the Earth froze still.
Brittle and cold, the tremors of the Deep would tear apart all of creation.
First the world shattered and the mortals all drowned.
Then Nothing shattered, and the gods were thrust into the void-winds.
And then Time too was forgotten by almost all.
Only one god remembered. The Creator's unruly son: The King of Storms, who mustered all of his strength to bring back the shards of time and space and Earth and Heaven. But the Storm King was a not a delicate god. Improvising and creating with the barbarous and sweeping strikes of a warrior, the world he sculpted was a twisted and malformed abomination.
You, pulled from the Deep's own stomach, awake to an unrecognizable reality. Outside of your own time and space you step out of the mists at the Storm King's behest. Spent of much of his power, he hopes that champions such as yourself will help him save this ugly world of his. He wants you to bring back the Sun.
WELCOME TO: BRING BACK THE SUN! A campaign inspired by Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
This lethal homebrew I've put together will challenge 5e's notions of the invulnerable player character! However, you won't just straight-up die. Instead, your character has 'Memories' that they will lose with each death. Lose all your memories and your PC goes 'Hollow' and you forever lose control of them!
I'm looking for people who enjoy tense combat, but also have a real enjoyment for lengthy and meaningful roleplay that will be mechanically rewarded!
ABOUT ME: I'm 26, been roleplaying for around 6 years now. I feel like I'm an experienced GM but I'm a little raw on DnD 5e.
I always appreciate themes and style over hard rules and I like to think that I'm very flexible, making player enjoyment a priority over all else.
