An Orcward Encounter [Mini Adventure] [Homebrew] [5e] [Paid]

Ever wondered what Ocean's Eleven would be like if instead of a group of criminals knocking off a casino it was a DnD party trying to steal a giant pig from the middle of an Orc festival?

If so …. Well that’s a pretty strange and specific thing to wonder if I’m honest, but gee willikers will this adventure answer that question for you! And a whole lot more too, such as “Who is Babe and how do I get his +1 Battle Axe?” and “Why would I ask who Babe is when I didn’t even know he existed until you made up a quote about me asking about him?”

Babe (son of Dick the King-Smith of the Quickmind tribe of Orcs, and one-time travel companion of yours) needs your help to rescue his giant boar and lifelong companion Peppa from the warlike and savage Stinkybreath tribe. They’ve pigknapped Peppa on the eve of the Gruumshdown, when a mighty Orc shaman will come to Stinkybreath Citadel for the ceremony. Babe fears that they will use Speak With Animals to get the secrets of his tribe from Peppa, and that all-out war could ensue. Knowing that the Quickminds act as a buffer to keep the Stinkybreaths from turning your home village into donner kebabs, it seems like a pretty important task. It’s early afternoon now, and the shaman will be there by midnight. Better hop to it!

An Orcward Encounter is a homebrew mini adventure for level 7 characters, and works well as a humorous and outlandish spy-heist or an orcwardly challenging hackfest.

What’s a mini adventure?
It’s a small module designed to last 2-3 sessions. I tend to write things with a lot of flavour and things to do/see/discover and prefer having a sandbox feel over railroading people. A mini adventure of a couple of sessions means people have more time and freedom to have fun than you usually would in a one-shot, but without the commitment of a long campaign. It’s a best of both worlds type affair, and they’re always a ton of fun.

Why pay?
- Top quality DMing, organised first and foremost around making sure you have an amazing time.
- No organising. No faffing. No endless WhatsApp chats to see when people are free. It’s going ahead even if someone’s cat get stuck up a tree. It’s going ahead even if MY cat gets stuck up a tree. Though I would need a cat first. And a tree.
- With a game like this people have paid to be there, so will generally have more of an incentive to make the best use of their time. That will then make it much easier for you to get the best out of the session too.
- In 6-7 years of running D&D, I’ve had overwhelmingly positive feedback from dozens of campaigns, adventures and one-shots. In terms of paid games I’ve run, I’ve had nothing but positive feedback so far (touch wood!). I love making people happy, making people laugh, putting smiles on faces and knowing I’ve made sure people have had an amazing time. Be one of those people and I’m going to do everything I can to make it worth your while. It’s just how I do.
- For newer players D&D can take time to get your head around. If only there were someone friendly and knowledgeable you could take all of your questions to without feeling daft for asking. Oh hi! That’s me! All players will have contact details for me, and can ask anything relating to the game at any time. I’ll always respond as quickly as I can and it should always be within 24 hours (cats in trees notwithstanding).
-For reviews and testimonials please check out my profile or Facebook page.
