I have 2 or 3 players and looking to bring that up to 5.
Will pick players on Thursday 19th. With first session on 22nd.
This is a 3rd party adventure that I will be customising,
Ancient Greek inspired. Gods walk among the people, breaking an oath has disastrous punishments, heroes are larger than life figures, less developed weapons and armour and city states warring against each other.
Very brief history:
The Isle of Thelya is cut off from the rest of the world and its gods. Has native races (centaurs, satyrs, minotaurs, nymphs) who were created by and worship the Titans. Hundreds of years ago the settler races (human, dwarf, elf) began washing up on shore from shipwrecks. This obviously resulted in war between the native races and settler races.
500ish years ago the settlers began coming in bigger numbers and brought dragons, with riders called Dragonlords. These helped establish 3 settler cities. The war continued and all the dragons and Dragonlords died. However 5 gods of the settler races appeared in their time of need. This helped turn the tide so much the Titans agreed to a 500 year oath of peace with the settler gods, ending the war. Since then the settler races and native races mainly get along.
The 500 year oath of peace between the Titans and gods is coming to an end. You are each prophesised to contribute to stopping this destroying civilisation. The campaign starts with proving yourself and meeting the Oracle, completing 7 great labours, exploring islands untouched by current civilisation, confronting the Titans, and saving the world. Along the way you might: compete in the Olympics, settle a war between the two main cities, command your own magic boat and hopefully restore the order of the Dragonlords. It’s likely you will get dragon mounts/companions and there may be the potential to ascend to godhood.
Details below. Rather than open world or linear the campaign is more grouped into nodes. Here is your ‘hub’ for this section, here’s the quests and places to explore, do them in your own order, then move onto the next ‘hub’
Will go from level 3 to level 20. Adventure is split into roughly 4 parts. A rough summary:
• Up to level 7: Town as base while you visit some dungeons
• Up to level 13: Exploring uncharted waters to find allies and reduce the power of the titans while increasing your own .
• Up to 16: Battling gods to save the world
• Up to 20: Dealing with the aftermath of your actions
Rough game type percentages, for first bit. Will then adapt to what players want
Combat/exploration/social: 40/30/30
Dungeon/town/wilderness: 40/40/20
Combat will be a mix of deadly 1/day fights and dungeons filled with multiple ‘moderate’ to ‘hard’ fight days.
You’re likely to get showered with magic items
Play Sunday nights 19:00 to 21:30 UK times. Realise this seems short but its best for schedules and I promise plenty will be achieved each session. Do shopping, character advancement etc outside settings.
Expect full campaign to last approx. 1 year real life time.
My two main priorities are fun and keeping the game moving. I like the rules, but willing to bend them to enjoy the game more. Generally prefer a lighter heroic feel. Characters will still have to make tough decisions and be in dangerous situations, but players can have a laugh about it.
Also I’m terrible at voices.
Have 2 or 3 , looking for 2 or 3 more, for max total of 5. Main things I’m looking for are good attendance, attentive and communicative. Be there, pay attention and let me know which bits you enjoy and which could improve.
Voice is required, use discord for chat. I’ll use video but this is not expected from players
You will start at level 3
Please see house rules section for info on what’s allowed/ not. But this is also pretty much up for discussion in session 0.
The setting comes with new player races and subclasses. There may be some balancing required to some of them. Can be found for free here:
