Lest Darkness Rise

The town of Night Falls is like no other. From the Funerary House Guild, with its sigil rune of crossed shovels, to the Gravedigger’s Tavern and the mourners-for-hire on every street corner, the entire town seems geared to profit from death.

And the profits have obviously been good—the town’s wealth is evident in its well-lit streets, liveried town guards, and well-maintained buildings. But despite the dour nature of its chief business, Night Falls seems a happy, prosperous place, and its people seem content.

Just when the sun is close to setting, a young man runs into town, waving his arms wildly. “The Great Mausoleum!” he yells. “The Skull Tomb is open! The ghost is free!”

Lest Darkness Rise is a 3.5 edition D&D module from Wizards of the Coast that I've retooled for 5th edition D&D. It's well balanced between role playing and combat. This is a game for 4 players at level 7. We'll complete this adventure in a single session lasting 3-4 hours.

We'll be using a 27 point buy for stats (if you'd rather roll, that's fine). Feel free to use any D&D official source material, except "Ravnica", "Eberron", "Theros", "Wildemount", and Unearthed Arcana. Also, feel free to import your own character! We'll be playing this game on Roll20, but we'll use Discord for audio. Players will receive the Discord server link when the start time approaches.

Please have your character sheet ready to go at the start time! We're playing at level 7, so it will take a little while to make your character!

Payment for this game will be $10 per player via Venmo or Patreon at the start of the session.
