Free City of Haven (RuneQuest - Thieves Guild)

Come join the Thieves Guild in the Free City of Haven.

I will be using Gamelords Free City of Haven and Thieves Guild materials (as well as other fun city and thief type resources) however, since the Thieves Guild game system is not easily available, I will instead run using RuneQuest 1st edition (1978) which is available in PDF from Chaosium or DrivethruRPG and POD from Chaosium. This will NOT be a Gloranthan campaign and while cults will be available, it will downplay cults, focusing more on minor cults than the grand cults of Cults of Prax.

The campaign will have some directed missions (especially at the start) but will exist in an as much of an open sandbox as I can manage. I am very familiar with RuneQuest and the setting is a typical pseudo medieval European setting with D&Dish themes.

For the next few months, sessions will be on the last Friday of the month starting at 8:00 PM Pacific Time and run for 2 hours or so. Starting in September we will shift to every other Wednesday evening at the same time.

I do have some house rules (some borrowed from RQ2 or later editions) and there will be custom character generation to match the Haven/Thieves Guild setting.

I have been running RuneQuest on and off since 1978 so my GM style is decidedly old school and this IS an old school game system.
