Fallcrest- Open 4e

The PCs venture into Fallcrest to gain experience and investigate a mysterious group that is concocting schemes in the secluded forested region of the Nentir Vale. The adventure continues as the PC's explore the mysterious Thunderspire Labyrinth, chasing different strands of villainy amidst the ruins and commerce of the ancient Minotaur city, ultimately confronting the larger evil...

GENERAL GAME GUIDE

4th edition D&D game, relaxed campaign- experienced players welcome alongside newcomers, but keep in mind it is often impromptu and casual rule-wise. Make a level 10 PC. Must have voice (used through Google Hangouts- need to let me add you on hangouts), so you will need to eventually PM me your profile name or gmail address.

ALLOWED BOOKS AND PC CREATION

Can use PHB1, PHB2, PHB3 and all Power books except no Martial Power 2 - if there is a specific feature from MP2 you like I will consider it. No other books. These books are assumed to be the only sources you can draw from during character creation and beyond.

Come to game with character made, but I am happy to answer questions. Use standard array or 22 point buy rules from PHB1 for character ability scores.

Start with 6900gp that you can spend before-hand on magic items of up to +2, or mundane items. Buy items at book prices.

You will eventually have to add your character in the Roll20 window as a character sheet, which I will name after your profile name- you fill it out and change name to pc name. We do NOT use macros, so please type out powers text as in book. At least list power names and attack/damage values in roll20, but if you can type out what it does that is appreciated. You will probably want a personal character sheet on top of roll20. I consider roll20 an easy reference for me when I want to see what PCs can do.

We use 4e errata updates for everything, please check it. We roll 3d auto dice in game. You will eventually use an isometric token to represent character. Please post interest in this forum or PM me. Thanks.

Your PC can be from any race except Shardmind (if you really want one tell me a backstory that you want and I will consider it), and any class (based on current party composition I might insist on newcomers to choose certain roles, but only if absolutely necessary for party balance- I try not to curtail your freedom to choose).

TIME ISSUES AND RESPONSE

NOTE: Game time is Sunday 9:30 am GMT + 11. Please keep in mind your time zone, you can do this by looking at the time of the next game. We finish around 2pm GMT+11.

Also the game starts in the morning GMT+11, and I need time to consider applicants, so last minute applicants won't get in the current game, and will have to wait until next game session if they get in. I am very fast and responsive to messages, and will usually get back to you within a day, but I have my own schedules and different times zones to most PCs.

GROUP RULES:

-Arguments and disagreements are fine, even encouraged, but aggressive shouting isn't. Both voice and text. I follow this rule as well when dealing with players.
-All types of people from all places and walks of life, are welcome.
-Absentees, personal events etc. happen, but please make a reasonable effort to keep up with the game and forum posts/PMs.
-We are all relatively new including the DM, and disagreements and suggestions are common, but remember decisions don't always go your way and the DM ultimately has the choice.
-Remember the above note about last minute applicants- it is fine to apply last minute, but not if you expect me to add you to the game just before the session. If you want to get into a particular session, apply at least 4-5 days before.
