Evil gods across the multiverse have begun to band together, and so the rules have changed. Gods across the multiverse are banding to stop the terror of Tharizdun who is slowly being released from his chains in the Abyss. A shackle has fallen by the hands of his disciples, and the group who should have stopped him, failed. With no other choice, the gods have either plucked you from your existences and ushered you into this new world to stop the terror from being released any further, or you found yourself stumbling into a group unlike any other, All while a war rages around you. Welcome to Exandria adventurers, and welcome to Wildemount.
Welcome to a Wildemount setting campaign. The main things you need to know:
Some of the history in this game is based off the Angle of Irons arch in Campaign 2 from Critical Role. However, this is a separate story and little or no background in Critical Role is more than alright, it's preferred. If you have watched it, please be aware that it is your responsibility to not meta-game and that none of the other current players have watched the show other than the DM. Also, we are not voice actors, while there is a focus on role playing, and character growth and development in this campaign it is still our story.
This game has been running for a while now, however we also recently lost some players. We’ll work with you to get you up to speed however your PC won’t know much anyway so much can still be discussed during RP.

we are currently at level 7, and nearly anything within the 5E ruleset is open. You will also be asked to use DnDBeyond with the Beyond20 integration (DM can help you set this up if you don’t already) and Discord. The DM will give you a link to join our campaign on DnDBeyond where you will get FREE access to all content owned by the DM (which is nearly every available source book) to use in your character sheet. This will also allow the DM to share homebrew content and manage your character sheet if needed.
Players will be required to get along with the rest of the party (character conflict is alright), however we are a decently diverse and inclusive bunch so don't feel afraid!
All character will get to start with 500gp + 1d10 X25Gp, to be rolled in DM's presence. Every character will also be allowed to choose a +1 Weapon, and the rest will be starting equipment with an option to upgrade your armour 1 tier from base. (I.e. if you start with Hide, you may instead choose a chain shirt or scale mail, this rule lays at the DM's discretion) you also maybe allowed a magical item, however this will require discussion with the DM to help maintain balance.
At any time Feel free to reach out to me if you want to homebrew an item or magical ability. I will inform you what maybe required to make it (if anything). Generally for magic, it will have to be researched/developed in game, same for magical items. as for mechanical items your character will need to be logically capable of creating the item or may have to get it commissioned. to the DMs discretion

this is also up to DM's discretion as some races may not be entirely balanced. It will be required for this to make sense in your back story.
